Theodore Gregory was not charged with the murder of Howard LaBove, due to laws preventing his wife, Monique Dana Gregory, from testifying against him and she was the only witness. He was convicted of trying to kill his wife, but it was overturned and he was acquitted. Once the Gregorys’ divorce was final, murder charges were filed. Theodore Gregory was convicted of voluntary manslaughter and fined $1,000 for taking the life of another human being.
