Lemaricus Davidson during his trial
I am sorry I have not been updating this everyday. I have watched the entire trial and it was very interesting. I thought the Prosecution put on a good case, especially closing arguments. I do not think the Defense did well, but probably the best they could with what they had to work with. In my opinion, one of their witnesses (can’t remember her name) lied. Plain and simple. Her story does not sit well for me. She said she saw Chris and Channon at the Exxon and they were begging for gas money, even though Chris had just withdrawn $100 from his bank account and both of them had money in their individual accounts. The defense also tried to vilify the victims, which they should know does not bode well with juries. And no way did the jury believe them. It was outrageous. Even insinuating at one time that maybe the rape of Channon was consensual sex (not said in those words, mind you). When the medical examiner had to identify photos of the victims injuries, several jurors cried and one held her hand over her mouth. The photos were not shown on camera, but I can only imagine how bad they were from the descriptions. The jury has the case now and I am hoping they will be back with GUILTY verdicts this afternoon. Right now, my thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones. This had to have been so hard on them. It is outrageous that they had to defend their children on the stand, but that is what the defense made them do. But now, may justice be served.
