May 25 of every year is International Missing Children’s Day, in honor of Etan Patz, who disappeared on this day in 1979. Unfortunately, there are thousands of missing children, dating back decades even. No matter how old that child would be, every parent holds out hope that their child(ren) will be returned safe. Some have been. Elizabeth Smart, Steven Staynor, Shawn Hornbeck and Ben Ownby are several examples. I wish all would be returned home safely, including custody issue kidnappings, but I am not naive enough to believe that this will happen. But please, when you are out and about, look at the people around you. Take notice of the children and teens. Maybe you can be someone’s hero and get them home.

This is a video of Soul Asylum’s Runaway Train updated 25 years. It is not Soul Asylum, but it is a good version, and makes you think.
