The day started out with Krystal Holloway/River Cruz on the stand. She stated the she had an intimate relationship with George Anthony (which he denies) and talked about the interviews she gave with the media. She received money from the Enquirer for her story (because they would not edited it, never mind that they are a tabloid, giving voice to the offbeat and weird, with headlines that are more sensationalism than truth). She was upset with the way the media was portraying her and she wanted her story to get out there. So much for caring about the victim, Caylee Marie Anthony. Whether there was an affair or not does not matter in getting justice. I know that the defense wanted to impeach George Anthony’s testimony. However, I don’t think it worked as well as they wanted. All of the Anthonys (George, Cindy & Lee) were called back to stand to talk about what they did for their pets that died. After that, the defense rested. The State is now giving their rebuttal case. They called Alina Burroughs, a CSI who took photos of Caylee’s clothing. After her testimony, court was recessed for the day.
