It’s funny that you support the so-called “Deterred effect of capital punishment” when the US have the highest murder-rate in the whole western world, as well as the 2 highest number of inmate population in the world!!! (more than 1 million people!!! For the records, the first place is currently held by China!!!)… Could you please explain what you mean by “Deterrent effect”??? How is it supposed to wokr?!!!

The deathpunishment is actually a more humane way to let criminals get away from sufferin for there crime. They should be given a full life sentance and pay for what theyve done instead of getting the easy way out. They should be made to live with what theyve done and if theyre murderer then they should make up for the life they destroyed by living it for them and not coward away in death =)

FORGIVEN?! why should THEY be forgiven?! if they take the life of your child, would you just pat them on the back and say “oh its ok, i forgive you”?
i say what we should do is an eye for an eye, they should be killed the same way they murdered someone so they feel what pain they put someone through

One can be forgiven but that doesn’t mean that they don’t pay for their crime.

Amen on that! Someone kills my baby there is no forgiveness, screw that. Anyone agreeing to that bullshit obviously HAS NOT had a loved one violently taken from them for no reason. They should all die the way their innocent victims do.

What really pisses me off, is when some murderer is about to be executed, you have people saying that the state is gonna murder this man/Woman, but you don.t hear them saying why. I also think that statement “Cruel and unusual punishment” Is crazy, its an execution for crying out loud. At least when these scumbag’s are put to death, they have a nice clean gurney to lay on and get to have their family and loved ones there and also a last meal of their liking, the poor people who they murdered didn.t get none of that. I wish my country britain was like texas, they’ve got the right idea. And i do believe that capital punishment does work as a deterrent, and the bible says an eye for an eye, im ok with that. If you take a life deliberately then you should have to forfeit yours, simple. We all have a great thing and its called choices, i choose the right ones and some people choose to kill people, they’re the people i believe should be put to death, my opinion.

Families of convicted people should be educated about being on death row. This is a good blog to read. Hope they could recover.
