  1. What a pretty woman! She is so pretty with such a beautiful smile. To think that this monster took her life and destroyed her body! He deserves the death penalty. My death penatly. Tossed from an airplane into an alligator swamp!

  2. I watched this episode, very sad. My condolences to the family. I can’t help but wonder though WTF is wrong with the Buffalo Police Dept. The detective stated that he didn’t have Fountain’s prior criminal history due to a lack of computer technology? That’s BS, because NYSPIN rap sheets were available in ’94. They had three suspects and the case went cold for 16 years? Disgraceful.

    • He didn’t have a criminal record til 97′ three years after he murdered Cynthia Epps.

      • I don’t recall that. I’m pretty sure the program said he had a prior record in NYC before he moved to Buffalo. Nonetheless, even if you’re correct, why didn’t Buffalo PD run updated rap sheets periodically? Its a murder case and they only had a handful of suspects.

  3. I saw this story yesterday on ID Discovery after reading the profile on here on Monday. This was so very sad. I live in NYC. What is going on with the Buffalo police? I have only been to Buffalo once when I was visiting my college friends who attended the State U many years ago.

The NYC police would have had this guy already. What the hell were the police in Buffalo doing all of these years? What a demonic, and reprehensible monster! He is beyond sick and sad. NYS needs to reinstitute the death penalty once again just for monsters like this creep! It is beyond despicable that the family has been waiting all of these years for justice for Ms. Epps. Ms. Epps is a beautiful human being. Her smile alone lights up the entire page. She resembles a family member that I have who lives in South Carolina. I know that she RIP with Jesus where no one can ever harm her again. My love and thoughts with the family of Ms. Cynthia Epps and her daughters who can now sleep peacefully knowing that their mom is at peace.

    • One would think that the Buffalo PD would’ve at least contacted NYPD since Fountain was a “transplant” resident. To think that this program portrayed this detective as a “heavy hitter” is a joke. Also, they were told that Fountain was reluctant to contact the police when he found the body in his yard because he didn’t want the police “snooping around.” I think its safe to say that an innocent person would call 911 immediately if they found a body in their yard. Furthermore, they didn’t even consider the serial rapist as a suspect until they were informed he was being paroled??? Unbelievable.

  5. Very sad story, but the murder is not the most shocking thing about this case; there are murders every day. Take a look at his criminal record prior to the murder. What killed Cynthia Epps was a justice system that allows these animals to walk among us.
