    July 11: 2000: Sandra Tester, 25, was strangled to death and then her mobile home set on fire in Charlotte, NC. Her husband, Jimmy Tester, pled guilty and was sentenced to 12-15 years in prison. He was released on parole 6/8/2013 and ended parole on 3/5/2014.

  1. I’m glad to see that Joe Rosebrook got LWOP and that Chad South got 18 years to life, but after that it makes no sense. Mindy Stanifer, Chad South’s girlfriend got 18 years, while Alva Jacobs got 30 days, yet both were in the car that went to the wrong Ott house, where the murder occurred. It would seem to me they were both accessories to murder and should have gotten the same sentence. Then, there’s Carl Jeff Rosebrook, the brother of the man who ordered the Ott murder, and he got off with a fine, when, in fact, he paid for the murder and was therefore a conspirator. He should have gotten at least 10 years.
