  1. Thank you Bonnie for posting these stories for all of us. I learn so much from this blog! So sad to read this story. The young victim was a beautiful and so was her mother. She never got a chance at life. I do not know what is wrong with people today. They murder, rape and abuse other human beings at will. Sometimes, I wish I didn’t have to live in this world, but know I must. I must do my part to make changes i this world. As for the murderer, I hope he rots in prison!

    • Hi Deborah!

Thanks for your kind words :) In this case, Richard Ellerbee ran to NJ and then committed suicide by dousing himself with gas and lit himself on fire. Onlookers said he stood very still and never even screamed.

  2. I re-read this blog and this story. How heartbreaking to read what transpired here! This man was an evil, vicious animal who did the right thing and killed himself. He is not fit to be amongst civilized society! I cannot imagine the pain that this mother must feel by the death of her daughter. RIP Candice.
