Monsters Among Us: Angela Darlene McAnulty beat and tortured her 15-year-old daughter Jeanette Marie Maples, sentenced to death

Say NO to Child Abuse

Jeanette Maples
Jeanette Maples

This is one horrific case. It appears to me that the mother is the monster here. And monster is the correct word, when you read all that happened to this child. And of course, now the mother says she is sorry for what she did to her daughter, Jeanette, and that she is “at peace” with her sentence (yeah, she said that BEFORE she was sentenced to death), which I believe was a ploy to get the jury to not sentence her to death. If she really is at peace and is genuinely remorseful, then there should be no appeals. She should accept her sentence and have it carried out as soon as possible.

  1. As I write this post, tears are streaming down my face. I cannot stop crying. I couldn’t read anymore of this story. I have two girls that I love so very much. Never even spanked them. I canot imagine the horror and the pain that this girl suffered in her short life. She is now free. She is a Butterfly, an angel who know longer has to suffer the torture that was inflicted upon her. My wish for her parents?? To be chained together, put in a plane, and then pushed out over an alliagotor swamp in Florida!!! That woudl be what I would want for thiese two sub human creatures! These two deserve to be exeucted! I hope they are beateh every day in prison! They should be starved to death! These two do not deserve to live amongst civilized people. What is wrong with our society today?? Why would you do this to your own child??? WHY?

  2. The death penalty is too good for this evil witch! She should be tortured and starved just like she did to her beautiful daughter! There’s a special place in hell for people who hurt and kill children! She will burn there for all eternity!

  3. What if efforts was made to psychologically rehabilitate this woman. If she makes progress, the thoughts of her actions will begin to weigh down on her heavily. At some point, the guilt she is bound to feel will be so massive that I imagine a death sentence would be merciful act towards her.

    • Are you kidding me?! You can’t rehabilitate a monster. Clearly she knew it was wrong. She had two other children she didn’t do this to. Some people cannot be helped. This kind of evil cannot be rehabilitated.

    • Rehabilitation? She needs an EXORCISM.

  4. I saw the profile of the Angela McAnulty case on Discovery ID channel’s Deadly Women, and it made me cry – and I’m a grown man who once served in the military. I applaud the prosecutors in Oregon who were able to get the death sentence for McAnulty. Normally, I don’t care for the death penalty, but there is a special place in Hell for McAnulty and the sooner she’s there, the better off the world will be.

  5. I just watched an episode of Deadly Women on Investigation Discovery. Jeanette’s story was on there. I wanted to look it up as I wanted to see a picture of her and she was beautiful. This child went to school… They did report her but why didn’t one teacher- one person step up and take this kid to the hospital?? Surely her life woulda been saved. These adults failed this little girl.
Another thing- people who are against the death penalty should read this story… And others like hers. I think their outlooks would change. In this case- the death penalty is too humane for this disgusting thing. I can’t call her a person as she’s not one. A person who can wipe their daughters flesh pieces and blood spatter off after beating her repeatedly- day in & day out- is no person. Regardless of what happens to her here, she’ll have to answer to God. So she’ll get hers.

  6. Oh my God. This is the most horrific crime I have ever read about in my 60 years. I am sick. I want to go into McAnulty’s prison cell and have a go at her. I just cannot believe these circumstances and cannot fathom what poor Jeanette endured. Unbelievable. That woman is pure evil. I will never get this out of my head.
