  1. The smoking gun in this case was when she said she awoke and found
her then husband, Robert Sand, stabbed to death and then went back to sleep for 2 hours before calling police. When you find your spouse stabbed to death you don’t take a nap before calling police.

    • I completely agree. I find it repulsive how she tried to turn herself into the victim in this situation. I understand sexual assault victims fighting back, but in this case, her stories did not add up, especially the weird calls to police after the murder.

  2. I believe she was mentally ill. Also believe that the dude Sand was a sexual freak.

  3. Andrea Sand had been using her sexuality since she was fifteen, since she had no other skills. She met Sand while working as a prostitute and manipulated his lust. Andrea was a conniving, uneducated hooker, who ended up where she belongs.

    • That’s a lie. She was forced by her mother to marry a rapist who impregnated her at age 15, and spent several years in Cuba with him prior to Castro. He beat her constantly, and she’s always had a lot of PTSD over it.

    • I have known Andrea since 1991, and she’s no danger to anyone. I’m not going to discuss her case, but it’s a lie that she used sexuality to make money since she was 15. She was raped and impregnated at age 15, and her mother forced her to marry the rapist. He was in the Navy based out of Cuba prior to Castro, and she had to live off base, when he beat her constantly. She had PTSD since she finally got away from him, but she raised 2 sons by him. She had an early acting career, and you can see her in a brief part of the original “M*A*S*H”, and a few other movies. She has a bigger part in the original Billy Jack movie, “Born Loosers.” Most of her role in “M*A*S*H” was cut out, but you can still see her. Her mother admitted to me she forced her daughter to marry the rapist before she died, but she said that’s just the way social things were in New Jersey in 1956.

  7. Someone made that up that she went back to sleep after finding her husband stabbed. Not in any reports or court transcripts. She was knocked unconscious and came to finding him lying next to her on the floor and immediately pushed the alarm. The head injury reports conveniently but not for Andrea, were unattainable and then the hospital said they were destroyed. She was in shock and did not know she had a head injury until a week later. But apparently, she had been bashed over the head.

If she was mentally ill it was because of all the abuse in her life and what Sand was putting her through. She’s had lots of therapy and seems normal to me.

The 85 year old father should be flattered that such a kind and nice woman was interested in him. Sad for him he let her go.

…and your point being? Don’t judge anyone until you know the real facts and walked in their shoes. The book Aram Saroyan wrote was supposed to be written with Andrea but instead he wrote it with Sand’s daughter.

        • I knew this woman I met her in prison. She worked in the rehabilitation unit and a few lifers did she was my mentor. She was the nicest. kindest women I meet. She encouraged me and gave good guidance. We never talked about her case instead we talked about how to make life better after tragedy. The woman I met I would never believe she did what they say she did and knowing all we know about abuse it can lead you to do unspeakable things . I know she believed in God and there is nothing he wont forgive when you reach out to him in honesty she is resting peacefully and deserves to.
