Trent DiGiuro murder 7/17/1994 Lexington, KY *Shane Ragland covicted of his murder, conviction overturned; pled guilty to manslaughter and walked! **No justice**

Trent DiGiuro murder

Shane Ragland was living in Pennsylvania, but is now rumored to be back in Lexington. He owes the Diguiuro family $30 million fro. a lawsuit. His wealthy father actually refused to tell where Shane was because he was trying to get his life together, and get over this “nightmare”. Wow! Like the Digiuro family will ever get over the real nightmare, which is losing their loved one. Shane Ragland created his own nightmare. He SHOULD be in prison for life. But sometimes, money can get you out of paying the price for your actions. However, Shane Ragland still keeps on getting in trouble with the law.

  1. I seen this one the other night and i agree with the cop WHAT A STUPID REASON TO KILL SOMEONE, NOT THAT THERE IS A GOOD REASON BUT THIS WAS/IS A VERY STUPID REASON. Also the show said he served five years, ummm yes he should be in jail for life, if that were you or me? They’d smoke our boots. Unbelieveable! And very sad.

  2. Please God let me run in to this guy some day!

  3. If the reason he killed bothers you then just read this repulsiveness

    • WOW! I just checked out the site you included in your post…deeply disturbing. That guy is gonna either end up killing himself or, God forbid, an innocent family in a car accident! I can’t even count on BOTH hands how many DUIs this moron has had. Ugh, it’s so disturbing. (Oh, and yes I know this comment is really late but better late than never!) Anyhoo, thanks for sharing that link. 🙂

  4. Just read the site you mentioned, Paul, all I can hope for is that he wraps himself around a really big tree, what a shame about Trent, he had so much to offer

    • He came close on December 29, 2012 and almost took my family with him-what in the world is this guy’s problem? What a reckless person and a waste. Maybe this crash he had will change him for the rest of his life.

  5. Just watched a documentary on this and I am outraged that this POS is not in prison… Trent seemed like a stand up, all around good guy.

RIP Trent – you will never be forgotten.

  6. Money can fix just about anything, even murder.

  7. On December 29, 2012 at 4:22pm Shane Ragland almost killed me, my husband and daughter on I-64 east. He was driving very recklessly ramping onto 64 east from the I 265 outside of Louisville, KY. We were on our way home to Raleigh NC from spending Christmas in Wisconsin. We do not know what he was on or if his Durango was malfunctioning-either way he damaged our Mercedes Benz GL450 and once I started researching this guy I found out he has 5 DUIs and a manslaughter conviction. Why is he still driving? I guess I will find out if he has auto insurance. Stay tuned. Makes me wonder what is wrong with the justice system in Kentucky.

    • I am so sorry this happened to you & your family (& your Mercedes!)! This douchebag needs to pay for what he has done! I’m just glad you all made it out ALIVE! Best wishes!!

    • His father should be very proud of his son. Kudos Mr. Ragland for enabling your son to do whatever the hell he wants without consequence or conscience

    • there is no justice system in ky, just a legal system. you got enough money, you wont face “justice”

  8. Justice served up in Karma. He had a car wreck in December and is now paralyzed from waist down.

  9. The reason he walked that most people dont know is detective don evans slept with shanes girlfriend amy lloyd. That was kept out of court but i was told by a current lexington detective that worked the case. Now suposedly officer don is gonna run for sherriff in fayette county.

  10. This is so unfair. No justice for Trent or his family.

  11. Much as I feel for the dead mans family.I dont understand why they were so surprised at how things turned out. They said theyselves, he would get off with the help of his daddys money. That girl however, that was kind of foul. Im just not a big fan of friends who play snake against another. If she was a real friend of the dead man. She would have spoken up when he first admitted it. The same so -called danger existed then, as it did years later. When she finally told, after they broke up. Sorry for the guy who lost his life, condolences to the family. For they will always feel the pain. But I’m just not a big fan of after the fact snitches. I see no good character in a person who tells about a crime. After the crime happens & especially days, months, or even years later! And then say they were afraid, even-tho the same so- called danger still exists. Everyone knows from Joey the Bull story, ands others in protective custody. You better off on your own. When you snitch. Cause even cops hate snitches, thou they use them.
