Please remember when leaving a comment on my blog that all comments are subject to the blog owners discretion. I do believe in freedom of speech, however, that right is not absolute. Here are the rules: 1 - Please remember the victim(s) first and foremost. Do not come here to comment only on the offender(s). My blog focuses on the victim(s). Do not glorify the killer(s). No negative comments about the victim. NO VICTIM BLAMING. 2 - I will not tolerate hate filled speech, vulgar or derogatory remarks about a victim. I will remove comments that go against this. I will not remove comments just because they do not match my beliefs, in fact, I welcome them! However, that being said, I will remove those that I find offensive, argumentative just for the sake of starting an argument that does not add to the post, hate-filled speech, etc. 3-No comments in ALL CAPS, or CoMeNtS. They are rude and difficult to read. I have had many complaints about it so no more. 4-Comments must be in English only and easy to read (meaning no text language, shortening words, etc.). 1. I was working in the area where Mark Putnam killed his ‘informant’ and knew many of the people involved in his and her life.

She was ‘no poor angel’ and I’m know for sure he was a hard working agent who did many good things for the local area in solving crimes that otherwise would have gone unsolved. Mark Putnam was a good person who made a terrible mistake.

Anyone care to email me I can describle the place where Susan lived and her life and do a credible job in describing Mark’s territory to. I had met both, talk to each a little and I’m very familiar with the places and times.

    • Ron,

Mark may have been a good person and a good agent, however, he DID kill Susan who did NOT deserve to be killed. And maybe she was not perfect, but who is? She does not deserve to be talked about like that. Please do not imply that she did some bad things so she deserved what happened. She did not. Please remember to have some compassion for her and her loved ones. She is the one who needs to be remembered here. She lived and was loved.

    • I was searching for an update on his whereabouts. Our families were friends and Mark was a great guy. I was one of his babysitters, and his dream to be a fbi agent was so real and his family was so proud. I feel just awful about what happened here.

      • Brenda,

Susan Daniels Smith was a great young woman, too, and the victim here, not Mark. Great to hear you give some empathy or sympathy to her family and loved, but I guess that is not important huh? Only the killer? He went to federal prison, his wife passed away and he has been released. He gets to still live his life, but Susan does not. While she may not matter to you, she is the one that matters here on my blog. You might want to read my comment policy before commenting again. Remember the victim, she had a life, and she lived. Her family, including her children, loved her and still miss her. Please learn compassion.

  2. So sad that some look for the easy way out instead of facing and owning there own accountability in the actions they take. Murder is not the answered and will never be.
