  1. My heart goes out to her daughter, family and friends. I encourage all women who start dating someone new to go on the internet and pay a little money to get background information on the person. You will find any arrest, warrants or charges brought to the individual.

    This is so very sad.

  2. Brenda,
You are so right. A little money is nothing when you have your life on the line. My heart goes out to all the victims in this horrific crime.

  3. I had the honour of working with Ms. Lee for a few weeks, here in Conroe. This story is not alledged, it is horrifically true. All of us here in the office are in one of the stages of mourning, ranging from utter despair to anger and rage. Terry was a wonderful person who dedicated her life to making this place safe for kids. Her commitment and dedication to our profession will always be remembered here in the MC DFPS office as well as in the hearts of all those whose life she touched.
Prayers to her family and a prayer for justice,
    ~ML
Also, today it was said that Dodd will face Life in prison (which as some of you may know in TX constitutes 25 yrs straight served. Why cant we issue the stiffest penalty possible- shipping him 30 miles north to Huntsville and giving him the injection?

  4. Is there a memorial fund set up or someway of donating money that would go directly to either her daughter or her favorite charity? I am devastated for very personal unspoken reasons, but feel strongly that a memorial fund may help some of us who feel we need to reach out to her, her daughter and to help her leave behind a wonderful memory of who she was and what she did.

SS… Try contacting David & Debbie Moore at Texan Harley Davidson Conroe, TX texanhd@consolidated.net (888) 255-1254

David & Debbie sponsor the Cut-N-Shoot, TX Harley Owner’s Group which has a 501c corp. charity, “CNS Charities.” There is talk about CNS Charities doing something for her daughter. Something will happen!

Terry ramrodded our annual “Adopt a Child” program for Montgomery County where she helped 125 kids a year receive Christmas lock, stock, and barrell. My last memory of her she was at our Toy Run wearing a nice looking red suit for Chrismas for the kids. She was always about the kids.

Burn in Hell John Marshall Dodd. 25 years in the TX system isn’t a down payment for what you took from God’s earth!

    Godspeed Terry Lee, Godspeed!

  6. SS,
So sorry for your loss. I can’t believe someone would do something so horrible to another person. This woman suffered horribly. My grandmother’s house caught fire, and she lived for a month and a half afterwards. She was so badly burned ALL over her body. Her doctor says if she would have survived, they would’ve had to cut off her arms and her legs. She never came out of her coma. The first time I saw her, her head was 10 times it’s normal size, her whole body. This case really hit close to home and has affected me deeply. This beautiful lady was murdered in one of the worst ways imaginable and suffered ENOURMOUS pain. My heart goes out to her family and friends. God bless you.

  7. A bunch of us knew John in high school — every person I know thought him odd…..he was troubled….his mother was well off and maybe indulged him. He also showed sociopathic behavior even then. He put a live turtle on a grill outside and while everyone was astonished he sat back and laughed just like his mugshot.

Am very sorry for her family, but he has a long record. With all of her access to public information — WHY DIDN’T SHE CHECK HIM OUT!!!!!!!!!!!! She might have and maybe didn’t care that he had a record of rape and burglary. I don’t know. A lot of women date men just to have a man in their lives and don’t care about the past. Look at all the women that marry men in prison.

  8. I also had the great pleasure of knowing Terri. She did a 2nd Christmas program with me when I worked in radio. The Christmas wish Tree. We worked very close and very hard. No one could ever imagine the dedication 1 soul person could have but, she did. When ever I needed her she was there. For my kids birthday parties she would dress up like a clown and do face paintings. I’m about to cry just writing this. I miss you so very much Terri. Mongomery County won’t be the same without you!
God has judged you John Marshall Dodd!!!!!
