  1. Elija Page had to die for committing such a horrific crime. I’m in no way related to Chester but cannot stop crying just thinking of what that poor kid endured. It makes sick of people who want to be pen-pal with a depraved human being. Never an apology? no last words! How can anyone just casually pen pal with such a warped individual without constantly thinking about the type of crime that Elijah committed? This was a gassly crime with an unbelievable impact. For the anti-death penalties folks… How can you have the nerve to demand the stop of Elijah’s death under the premises that the lethal injection is a cruel punishment? My heart goes to Chester’s mom. I wish I was there in court hugging this woman and cleansing her tears.

  2. No kid should have to go through that. Actually no one should but even more so for a child.

  3. Jennifer,
I agree with you. I also think that this people against the death penalty need to realize also that Eli accepted his death sentenced and ask for all appeals to be stop and his punishment carried out. He accepted his fate, so everyone else needs to do the same.

  4. God will see fit the punishment for this waste of space. I look at my children and cry at the thought of someone ever being mean to them. It hurts me deeply that a mother would have to endure the sickening details of what was done to her beautiful child. It is so strange to me that people would want to converse with such a sick degenerate!

  6. I just don’t know how people like this exist in our world – it’s so hard for me to comprehend that someone’s human nature can pre-dispose them to take the life of another – absolutely appalling. Personally, I think giving him lethal injection is giving him an easy way out, he should be made to rot away the rest of his life in prison – to me, that’d be far worse a punishment, 60 years in prison, instead of a quick and easy death. That said, another part of me thinks he should have been executed the same way he made poor Chester suffer….disgusting. But as they say, “an eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind” which would suck too.

  7. He got what he deserved.

  8. Hahaha hate to be that kid haha tough luck!!!!

  9. yall are all ignorant to belive all that the tv tells you.. he should be learning from his mistake not be murdered for them… he had a bad moment of true rage.. rage that allowed him to be a horable peace of shit.. but he was a good man a good friend and i miss him peace and One Love page.. yall can say rude stuff but you dont know..and to not know and speak is the deffination of ignorant.. wish yall could learn from his mistake not build more hate(ers) from it..

    • christian,

Believing in the death penalty does not have anything to do with hate. Sorry to burst your bubble. Many people take the time to think about it and get information before making a decision. As for myself, I strongly believe in the death penalty. I even took a class on it in college. Making a decision based on emotion does not make it valid or strong. Obviously you were a friend of Elijah, so you could not and would not be objective. But have you even tried to see how the victim’ loved ones felt? When someone you love is murdered, it changes your whole life forever. And I am sorry, but the victim is the most important person in this, not Elijah. We must never forget the victim (and of course, you never even mentioned the victim, Chester Poage.) You talk of ignorance, but that is exactly what your words were about. Ignorance towards the victim’s loved ones. Have some compassion for them. They and Chester did not deserve this.
