Please remember when leaving a comment on my blog that all comments are subject to the blog owners discretion. I do believe in freedom of speech, however, that right is not absolute. Here are the rules: 1 - Please remember the victim(s) first and foremost. Do not come here to comment only on the offender(s). My blog focuses on the victim(s). Do not glorify the killer(s). No negative comments about the victim. NO VICTIM BLAMING. 2 - I will not tolerate hate filled speech, vulgar or derogatory remarks about a victim. I will remove comments that go against this. I will not remove comments just because they do not match my beliefs, in fact, I welcome them! However, that being said, I will remove those that I find offensive, argumentative just for the sake of starting an argument that does not add to the post, hate-filled speech, etc. 3-No comments in ALL CAPS, or CoMeNtS. They are rude and difficult to read. I have had many complaints about it so no more. 4-Comments must be in English only and easy to read (meaning no text language, shortening words, etc.). Update: Tara Lynn Grant *Husband, Stephen Grant arrested, charged with her murder*

tara-grant.jpgSome good news this morning: Stephen Grant has been arrested. He was found in northern Michigan, trying to run away from police. He is now in custody, but in the hospital being treated for hypothermia and frostbite.

“He was not in the condition to run anymore or obviously to flee,” Hackel said. Hackel said Grant was taken to a hospital with signs of frostbite or hypothermia. Grant was in serious condition, said Barbara Allen, a spokeswoman for Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. She said she couldn’t release any other information.

It has not been said if he has made any statements to police, but I don’t believe so. Especially since his attorney, David Griem, has removed himself as his attorney.

Griem said Sunday that he was withdrawing his representation of Grant. He said he wasn’t aware if Grant had another lawyer. “If I can’t give a client all of my blood, sweat and tears, it’s time for that client to find a new attorney and time for me to move on down the road,” said Griem, adding that he was both surprised and relieved that Grant hadn’t killed himself.

In a press conference today, Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel was confident that Stephen Grant will be convicted.

“It is very horrific what he did to her,” Hackel said. “People can only imagine from watching television or reading about it in some type of novel.”

stephengrant.jpgSince her body parts have been found in several different places, with only her torso found at the home, I think that goes to show a lot of anger and intent. In fact, all of her body parts have not yet been located. Searches are still being conducted. What kind of excuse do you have for your wife’s torso being in the garage, and other body parts scattered in different places (they have not revealed what was where, but I believe that some may have been found at his business and maybe in his vehicle). These revelations will be very hard on Tara’s family. But I am sure they will be strong for Tara and for the 2 children she left behind.
