Update: Julie Bowling murder *Mark Bowling and Rose Vincent indicted for Julie’s murder, State seeking the death penalty*

mark-bowling.jpgEarlier this month, Mark Anthony Bowling and Rose Delores Vincent were indicted for the December murder of Julie Bowling. Both have a court hearing date of Feb. 26.

During those hearings, the state will formally announce whether it will pursue the death penalty. But the state is not obligated at that time to reveal the aggravating factors in the case that would warrant such a punishment. Such factors can include whether the crime was committed for financial gain and the cruelty of the act.

And all indications seem to appear that they plan to seek the death penalty for both suspects.

“They have indicated to me they intend to seek [the death penalty],” Hamlett (Vincent’s attorney) said Wednesday.

Vincent and Bowling, both married, had been having an affair for about a year.
