Paul Raymond Saultz raped and killed his brother’s 15-year-old girlfriend, Roberta Francis in 1974. He was released on parole in 2005, when the Ohio Parole Board did not pay any real attention to his prison record. He was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. He had a long history of sexually deviant behavior, yet in prison, he did not do anything to correct his, or even show he wanted to try. No classes, nothing. When he was released, he assaulted several women who were mentally challenged. Every time he has been released (at least twice now) he has assaulted women. He is a danger to society. He needs to serve the entire LIFE sentence. It is disgraceful that he has been released at all. Now, due to those releases, he has other victims. This cannot continue.
“Roberta’s Law” has been signed into law in Ohio which made it mandatory that victims and their families are notified of parole hearings. Previously, they are required to request that they be told. I believe ALL states should be required to tell victims and their families of upcoming parole hearings. It is not only respectful and the right thing to do, it helps the family to know what is happening.
Here is a copy of the letter I have written up to oppose Paul Raymond Saultz parole. You may use it if you like. You can email, fax or mail it to the Parole Board: Saultz Parole Letter
**Update* Paul Saultz has been denied parole. He got a rehearing date of November 2022, so society is safe for a while. Thank you to all who sent in letters opposing his parole.
