Yes, today was Halloween, and of course, as tradition dictates, my kitties had to dress up! Do they enjoy it? Well, I think their pictures say it all! I thought I would share them with you! But, no matter their faces, they still love me!

Personal Update – yeah, boring!

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I just thought I would pop in and let everyone know what has been going on. Many of you know that I was the target of a driver not paying attention to pedestrians about a year ago. Unfortunately, my injuries are bad enough that the effects will stay with my for the rest of my life. Fun, huh? Yeah, I like walking like Igor! And of course, who does not love having pain 24/7. Sometimes it is all I can think about. Well, a little over a month ago, I also had to have an emergency appendectomy. Now that was tons of fun!!!! I had lots of complications as well. I never like anything to just be simple! And my sister got the doctors and nurses to label me a troublemaker! But they were all great to me! The doctor did say it would take 2-3 months to fully recover and I think he was right! I am feeling a bit better than when I came home, but not great yet!

What I have discovered is that now, it takes me a lot longer to make a post and that is depressing me. Sometimes it takes 2-3 days. I am working on this. But this is why I have not posted as much as usual in the last month. And no, I have not approved all pending comments. Sometimes, those are more than I can deal with. Especially after having one person tell me it was more important for me to remove her comments than for me to rest. And this was 4 days after surgery. So, not only did I take 2 hours to find and remove her comments, I have banned Martha from commenting. Sometimes it would be nice to see people show some compassion rather than just worry about themselves. And others, like Michael P., who think that if they email me multiple times that I will do it faster, need to be patient. I will get to it. Right now I am doing the best that my situation will allow me to do. But these people have given me plenty of material for “We’ve Got Mail”. Yeah, it does not really pay to push and irritate the blog owner! However, it does do my heart a lot of good to have seen and felt the best wishes that most of you have sent me, be it on Facebook or thru email. It has meant a lot to me and kept me going! So, THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!!! Hopefully I will be back up to speed soon!!!!

Just a note from me!

I am way behind on approving comments and posting lately. I am sorry, but that will not change anytime soon. I was not going to mention it, but I got an email ripping me apart for not approving comments quicker. I got hit by a car last week, so I am not up to much of anything right now. I am not dead (just wish it at times!). I am just very sore and cranky. So, I have approved comments that are easy to read and get through, but if your comment is long and long-winded, it will be a while, if ever. I will stand by my comment policy also during this time. If you are going to talk negative about a victim, just don’t. I won’t approve it. I have seen lots of those lately. There is no reason to bash the victim when that victim cannot speak for himself/herself. Yes, I realize that not all victims are perfect. Some led horrible lives. Some were mean to people. But when they have been murdered, there is no reason to speak about it now. Not here anyway. From the comments I have seen, if I were murdered, everyone could have a field day with my life. But how would that make my loved ones feel? I would not want my daughter to see those kinds of comments. So, I will stand by this. No one is perfect, victim or perpetrator. But here, don’t speak negatively about the victim. That is not too much to ask. If you want to bash a victim, I am sure there are plenty of places to go or start your own blog.

Not around much for the next few days

Well, today started out great with the conviction of Lemaricus Davidson.  Then, my mom passed away.  We knew it was coming, but it hit me very hard today when it happened.  And I did not make it to the hospital in time either, so I am feeling horrible.  So, I do not think I will be posting much for the next few days.  I have a migraine, so all of this is taking it’s toll lately.  So, I am not abandoning you guys!  Just trying to deal!

 

just a note: Since I confused someone, I thought I better clarify something.  It is my stepmom who died yesterday.  But I do not think of her as a stepmom, but as my mom.  She loved me unconditionally and I felt the same.  So, I have had 2 moms.  Sorry to confuse!

What a horrible day!

Well, just as I thought today would be a great day since I got a new computer, I got horrible news. Once again, my job is being offshored! So, Monday is my last day in my position. I am hoping to find another job fast, but we all know how that is. So, if anyone knows of places hiring or wants to pay me to do my blog, I am all for it!

Gone for a few days

See these two beautiful people? Well one is my daughter and one is my grandson. I will let you decide which is which! Anyway, I am leaving for the weekend to visit with them for the first time since Mother’s Day. Sunday is my grandson’s first birthday. So, I am gone. I will try to approve comments when I can, but not sure when that will be. So, I am not ignoring anyone personally!!!! ****update**** Look at the birthday boy!!! We had such a great weekend! I miss them already!

Good morning!  I have added a link to my Twitter page on the right sidebar, so if you use Twitter, you can follow me.  I am just learning how to use Twitter, so I do not know everything about it yet.  If you send me your username (you can post a comment to this) I will follow you! And if you have any tips for me with Twitter, please let me know. I am trying to use it regularly

Also, a while back I let people know that my job was going away, as it was being outsourced or offshored.  Well, it is being offshored   However, good news!  I found a new position within my Company, sso I am not losing my employment, thank goodness!  I will be a Supervisor over 30 or so employees.  I start my new position on April 27.  And I as much as I love my current job (and I do), I am excited to start my new one.  With my position, I will even have more time to work on my blog (maybe even get caught up a bit!!).  Next weekend, I am going to see my beautiful daughter and grandson for his first birthday.  I am so excited!!

 

So, I will be around more, good or bad!  Anyone else want to say what they are up to??!
