This Day in Crime History

December 26: 1996: Donald Wayne “Don” Tate, who owned the Flying T quarter-horse ranch in the Union Temple community of northeastern Greene, TN, was shot to death in the driveway on Tadpole Hollow Lane. James Emile Williams, 40, of 2060 Nelse Roberts Road, pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

December 28:1990: James Michael 'Jamie' Medlin, 19, was shot to death in Southaven, MS.

Darla Jo Swinford (Harris), 14, [convicted and sentenced to life in prison]

George A. Johnson Jr., [convicted and sentenced to life in prison](Her other boyfriend)

December 29: 2008: Jeremy McLean, 26, was shot to death in Longview, OR.
