2007 November: Parents Who Kill Their Children
November 18, 2007 — mylifeofcrimeThis month’s theme will be “Parents Who Kill Their Children”, which, unfortunately, seems to be a growing issue. Almost everyday you hear of another case, whether it be deliberate murder or neglect. You know the old saying “You need a license to own a dog or drive a car, but ANYONE can be a parent”. Scary sometimes, huh? However, there is also the flip-side to this. Due to all the abuse claims and murder, too many parents are being accused of abuse or even murder when there is no cause for it. I don’t know how to solve this problem myself, but we need to be more careful in dealing with these issues. We don’t want to accuse an innocent family of neglect or abuse, but then again, we do not want an abusive situation to ever continue. Abuse in any form should not be tolerated.
