  • This Day in Crime History

    May 10: 1973: 19-year-old Richard Miller was shot to death in McDonnellsburg, PA, as part of the murderous rampage of Carl Isaacs, Wayne Coleman, George Dungee and Billy Isaacs. Wayne Coleman confessed to killing Richard Miller, however, Billy Isaacs was the only one charged with his murder and he was sentenced to prison.

    May 10: 1994: Serial Killer John Wayne Gacy was executed at Statesville Prison for 33+ murders committed between 1972 - 1978 in the Chicago, IL area.

    May 13: 1973: Alday Family Massacre: Jerry Alday, Ned Alday, Jimmy Alday, Mary Alday, Chester Alday and Aubrey Alday were shot to death in or near Jerry & Mary’s mobile home in Donalsonvile, GA (Mary was also raped twice) by prison escapees Carl Isaacs, Wayne Coleman, and George Dungee who were joined by Carl and Wayne’s brother Billy Isaacs. Carl, Wayne and George were convicted and sentenced to death, which was later overturned. Carl was again sentenced to death and executed in 2003. George and Wayne were sentenced to LWOP. George died in prison in 2006. Billy was released from prison in 1993, but died in 2009. Wayne Coleman is still in prison in GA.
