Please remember when leaving a comment on my blog that all comments are subject to the blog owners discretion. I do believe in freedom of speech, however, that right is not absolute. Here are the rules: 1 - I will not tolerate hate filled speech, vulgar or derogatory remarks about a victim. I will remove comments that go against this. I will not remove comments just because they do not match my beliefs, in fact, I welcome them! However, that being said, I will remove those that I find offensive, argumentative just for the sake of starting an argument that does not add to the post, hate-filled speech, etc.
2 - Please remember to not use all CAPS or capitalize the beginning letter of every single word or every other word, or use IM/text abbreviations (except like LOL). Please have respect for other readers and type words out. Not everyone is into that and it is inappropriate here. [examples: "cuzn" "tha" "dat" and so many more] Learn proper English! You should have learned it in school.
3 - Your comments must be all in English.
4 - I will also not allow Anonymous comments. This includes using anonymous, obviously fake email addresses (you@you.com, me@me.com, anonymous@yahoo.com, or fictional characters, etc.)
5 - ALL COMMENTS LEFT BY COMMENTORS ARE THEIR OWN AND THEIR OPINIONS. THEY DO NOT CONSTITUTE FACTS. NOR IS THE BLOG OWNER RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYONE'S OPINIONS OR FEELINGS. STATEMENTS MADE AS COMMENTS ARE OPINIONS, GIVEN FREELY BY THE COMMENTORS.
6 - You must be 18 years of age or older to comment.
If you have a question or problem with this, please feel free to email me (there is a link to my email above).

True Crime Blog Tour: Author R Barri Flowers

Killers at Every Turn

I’m criminologist and bestselling true crime writer R. Barri Flowers.

As part of a true crime blog tour that includes Bonnie, Kelly Sons, Gary King, and Dane Batty, I am guest blogging today on Bonnie’s Blog of Crime.

You may have seen me on TV series such as Investigation Discovery’s Wicked Attraction or Blood, Lies and Alibis or the Biography Channel’s Crime Stories, offering my expertise on serial killers, murderers, and violent offenders in general.

Here’s one such interview and entire episode from the acclaimed series, Couples Who Kill:

A bit more about me…I have written numerous true crime and criminology titles over the years, including bestsellers, THE SEX SLAVE MURDERS: The True Story of Serial Killers Gerald and Charlene Gallego, SERIAL KILLER COUPLES: Bonded by Sexual Depravity, Abduction, and Murder, MASS MURDER IN THE SKY: The Bombing of Flight 629, and MURDERS IN THE UNITED STATES: Crimes, Killers, and Victims of the Twentieth Century

The Sex Slave Murders: The True Story of Serial Killers Gerald and Charlene Gallego (Kindle edition)

The Sex Slave Murders: The True Story of Serial Killers Gerald & Charlene Gallego (audiobook unabridged)

My latest true crime book MASTERS OF TRUE CRIME: Chilling Stories of Murder and the Macabre, is an anthology I am editor of, featuring seventeen riveting tales of murder, written by all stars of the genre, such as Harold Schechter, Katherine Ramsland, Burl Barer, Carol Ann Davis, Robert Scott, Cathy Scott, Amanda Lamb, and Camille Kimball among others

According to true crime veteran writer Diane Fanning, “Striking, well-written tales sparkle in this ocean of murder.”

And Gary C. King describes anthology as “A fascinating, must-read compendium of true crime by some of the genre’s leading authors.”

To be sure, MASTERS OF TRUE CRIME is all about cold blooded murder and the attempts by the culprits to evade authorities, while law enforcement try to crack the cases and bring about justice.

Amongst the chilling true crime tales in the anthology is my own gripping story about sexually motivated serial killer Donald Miller who graduated from my alma mater, Michigan State University, with a degree in Criminal Justice during the 1970s, before becoming a stone cold killer. Miller murdered and sexually assaulted at least four women in and around the MSU campus in East Lansing, MI, including sadly his ex fiancée, Martha Sue Young, a 19-year old student at the university.

Two riveting tales that take place in Europe. Scottish bestselling true crime writer Carol Ann Davis writes a absorbing story about British arsonist and serial killer Peter Dinsdale, who was only twelve when claiming his first victim; while Dr. Katherine Ramsland, who teaches forensic psychology, does an excellent piece about Italian female serial killer Leonarda Cianciulli.

Other spine tingling tales include Cathy’s Scott’s fascinating account of the Las Vegas murder of former Mob enforcer Herbert Blitzstein, and Phyllis Gobbell’s take on the Nashville murder of nine-year old girl scout Marcia Tremble.

If your interest is in murder and the stories behind, you’ll want to have MASTERS OF TRUE CRIME as a part of your collection.
