Today, most of the testimony centered around George Anthony’s suicide attempt and the letter he wrote. George was very emotional through most of this testimony and cried through much of it. Casey just sat there stone-faced as usual. George said he just wanted to be with Caylee. However, Jose Baez tried to make it sound like his attempt was not real, just for attention I suppose, but George let him know that it was a real attempt and that he wanted to die at that time. It was good to see Cindy support and comfort her husband afterwards. It could not be easy for either of them. However, George made a statement on the stand that surprised me to hear him actually say: “Something happened to Caylee, and Casey was last with her. One and one add up to two in my mind.”
Also called to the stand was Roy Kronk’s son, who contradicted some of what his father testified to when he was on the stand. Roy Kronk came back to the stand and answered questions about touching the skull with his meter stick. The last witness was a grief and trauma expert, Dr. Sally Karioth. She talked about how people handle grief differently and Casey’s partying and shopping, etc. could just be an extension of her grief. However, I don’t think she interviewed Casey, just used generalities for her testimony. I am just sure what good she did for the defense.
