I have seen the victim’s name spelled two ways: Johnnie and Johnny. He was stabbed in the throat a day after testifying before the Grand Jury about the Albert Patterson murder. Jerry C. Washington, 16, was apparently charged for Johnny Frank Griffin’s murder, but I don’t see that he went to trial or was convicted. Washington admitted to police that he stabbed Griffin during a fight that Griffin may have provoked (according to Washington and another witness).
