January 24: 1989 – Serial Killer Theodore Robert Bundy was executed in Florida for the murder of 12-year-old Kimberly Leach in Lake City, FL. It is widely believed he killed more than the 30 murders he confessed to.
January 24: 2006 – Jennifer Joyce Kesse disappeared from Orlando, FL. There is a person of interest, but the name of that person is unknown. Jennifer is still missing.
January 25: 1971 - Pamela Bradley McMeen was shot and killed by her husband, Louis McMeen, who was found mentally unfit to stand trial.
January 25: 1996 - Billy Bailey was executed in Smyrna, DE for the murders of Gilbert & Clara Lambertson.

Recent Convictions/Sentences Overturned
TN - Lemaricus Davidson, Letalvis Cobbins, George Thomas and Vanessa Coleman have all been granted new trials due to Judge Richard Baumgartner's drug addiction and the crimes that went along with it. They will all be in court January 12 for a Motion Hearing.
FL Randy Chaviano had his murder conviction overturned due to the trial transcripts being erased by the court stenographer. No trial date has been set yet.

Please remember when leaving a comment on my blog that all comments are subject to the blog owners discretion. I do believe in freedom of speech, however, that right is not absolute. Here are the rules:
1 - I will not tolerate hate filled speech or derogatory remarks about a victim. I will remove comments that go against this. I will not remove comments just because they do not match my beliefs, in fact, I welcome them! However, that being said, I will remove those that I find offensive, argumentative just for the sake of starting an argument that does not add to the post, hate-filled speech, etc.
