This was a particularly heinous crime. Erick Daniel Davila went to a home where a CHILD’S birthday party was taking place. There were lots of children there. He opened up and started shooting with a semiautomatic rifle and killed 5 year old Queshawn Stevenson and his grandmother, Annette Stevenson. All due to a situation with Queshawn’s father. I am sorry, but that is a poor excuse. Gangbanger thugs like this need to learn to value life more than this. However, in this case, the State of Texas will take care of that for him. He was convicted and sentenced to death, which is exactly what he deserves. Killing a 5 year old child over something he had nothing to do with. What EXACTLY did this child do to him? Right, absolutely nothing. In my opinion, Davila is a pathetic excuse of a human being. If he had a problem with Queshawn’s father, he should have manned up and taken it up with him, NOT against a 5 year old child or his grandmother. Oh yeah! He is also apparently responsible for another murder that happened right before these two, Darrell Ford. Hopefully it will not take too many years for his sentence to be conducted.

If you are just going to comment about how gangs work and try to justify this murder, don’t. Don’t waste your time and effort. I will not approve it. It is offensive to me to see people try to justify these murders, especially against innocent victims. And these victims were.

Summary of incident
On April 26, 2008, the subject and codefendant drove to a birthday party where the codefendant dropped off the subject. The subject went to the back side of the car, grabbed a model SKSS (762mm caliber) semiautomatic rifle out of the trunk and walked toward the apartment. Once the subject got to the apartment where the party was located, he went inside and opened fire. The shots fired resulted in the death of an adult black female and a five year old black female. Several other victims at the birthday party were injured.
