The story behind identifying Paula is simply amazing. Paula’s sister, Stephanie, watched an episode of “The Forgotten” and saw the advertisement at the end about The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) . She scoured the website and came up with 10 matches, one of which turned out to be her sister, missing since 1987. She was the victim of a homicide, strangled and left by the side of a freeway in Ohio (although detectives do not believe she was killed in Ohio but in Missouri and dumped in Ohio). They are now looking into the possibility that she was the victim of a serial killer who was working in her area at that time, Lorenzo Gilyard (who has since been convicted of 6 murders, but is suspected of several others).
The photo is a picture of Paula’s sisters, Stephanie and Alice with pictures of Paula.
