This Day in Crime History

October 5: 1997: Constance Mauer was raped and murdered in her Town of Veteran, NY home, which was then set on fire by Timothy Burchard and Eric Weiskopff.

Timothy Burchard – convicted – 25 to life in prison – first parole hearing 9/2027 [He is currently in Upstate Correctional Facility]

Eric Weiskopff – pled guilty – 22 years to life – first parole hearing 11/2025 [He is currently in Southport Correctional Facilty]

October 5: 2005: Christie Wilson went missing after leaving the Thunder Valley Casino in Placer County, CA. Mario Flavio Garcia was convicted of her murder and sentenced to 59 years to life in prison, although he still refuses to tell where her body is located.
