DID THE PRESSURE TO CLOSE MORTGAGES DRIVE A LOAN OFFICER TO MURDER HIS CLIENTS?

CBS NEWS “48 HOURS MYSTERY” REVEALS NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE CASE ON SATURDAY, MAY 23

For nearly a year Renee Ohlemacher was suspected in the murder of her parents, Bernadette and Greg, who were shot in their Albuquerque, N.M. home in August 2005. Renee says, upon hearing the gunshots, she squeezed herself into a closet and called the police. Certain that the killer knew the couple, investigators began questioning Renee’s every move after discovering that she did not immediately dial 911, opting to call a non-emergency number first. And her family had their doubts about her innocence too. Renee, who some family members considered spoiled, was set to inherit nearly $1 million from a life insurance policy. Her questionable behavior the morning of the murders and her cold demeanor in their wake did nothing to quell their suspicions. But with no physical evidence linking Renee to the crime, the probe began to stall, until a chance encounter would expose the unlikeliest of suspects – the couple’s mortgage broker, Ron Santiago.

Santiago, a self-proclaimed people pleaser, was facing mounting pressure to close loans and eventually turned himself in to the Secret Service, admitting that he forged two checks when he could not deliver on a loan. But as the Secret Service dug into Santiago’s past, their investigation would reveal something more serious. Did the stress of his job drive Santiago to murder?

  1. xenical capsule and buying hydrocodone online and didrex line and vioxx study and didrex overseas and tramadol rx and in internet order over tenuate uk

  2. Ron Santiago is innocent and he is the man. Case closed.

  3. Personally I suspect that daughter of theirs. She is a cold one. She seems like a femme fatale, out of a film noir. Like the character Carmen Sternwood from Raymond Chandler’s The Big Sleep. My suspicion is that she hired someone to kill her parents to collect the insurance money.

The guy she hired will probably sing one of these days. Then she’ll be exposed for what she most likely is.

  4. Anyone “in judgement” of this poor girl needs to understand NO ONE knows what they’d do in a situation like this!! She didn’t need money..she was 20 years old and beautiful..she could get ALL the money she needed the old fashioned way..FROM MEN who adored her..and I’m SURE she had a few… This whole case is messed up, but I highly doubt that poor girl had anything to do with it. People judge her replies in an interview? How many times has she re-lived it all in her head before cbs asked her questions?? Look at her the morning after the murders going to the police car.. the poor girl can hardly stand!!

  5. Anyone who believes Sontiago did this needs to see the evidence. First there was no gain in money because he would only make a couple hundred dollars killing these people. Second the police illegally searched his house at night when they were issued a daytime search warrant. Then ask yourself this why was the shell just lying there in a bag that if he did do it why he would place it in his bag and not get rid of it. Also when you look at the several pictures taken of the bag several shots before you can see the shell is nowhere to be seen. I’m positive there’s a freaking cop out there who planted this bullet just because they wanted this case to close.
