This morning I need to thank 2 of my favorite blogs for making me cry. Yes, both of them did this to me. These two blogs would be Dreamin’ Demon and People You Will See In Hell. Both posted the story of 4 year old Angelo Mendoza Jr. I cannot do this story justice as well as they do. Just look at this face of an angel.
And just to add my two cents, the mother Desirae Bermudez is just as bad. This boy screamed to go home with her and she had a feeling it was bad to leave him. What did she do? She LEFT HIM THERE. Right now he is in the care of Child Protective Services, which is apparently better than his real home. Angelo will never be able to see again, due directly to his parents actions. Those two should be sterilized immediately and then imprisoned. With general population. And their crime proclaimed for all to know. I hope I have helped with that, even just a little.

I read this sad sad story yesterday. I was completely appalled at the mother. She didn’t have full custody of her son but she said he begged her not to leave him, that he was scared. HELLO????? Normal motherly instinct would at least make you want to get your child out of there. She said in the interview she didn’t know what to do. She didn’t sound very bright. Did she not have a legal right to take the child away? I don’t know but she could have even called authorities. She said that the dad is a good dad. Yeah. I don’t think she’d know good if it hit her in the face. I don’t know, I would go thru hell and high water for any of my kids. They mean everything to me.

I believe this little boy will get his eyesight back with the help of stem cell and DNA developments. In another day and time, he would not be so lucky. The parents should be imprisoned for the rest of their lives. Sometimes, I think society should require a license to have babies.

Yea he is in the custody of child protective services, who knowing his parents very well left him in their care until it was too late. Now they take him into custody? They should have done something sooner, this father had a child abuse conviction on him, didn’t he?

According to a recent update on the PYWSIH website, the boy is IMPROVING and is has regained some of his sight in the remaining eye.
I was just as sickened and angry as you were when I first read of this and the allegation that the father was under the influence of PCP. However according to another recent update on the father, this was not the case. There was no evidence of any illegal drugs in the house on the day of this tragedy. The older Mendoza was going through withdrawal because he hadn’t taken his meds for paralysis for several days. I don’t trust these mind altering prescription meds they hand out like candy nowadays anymore than I trust the illegal ones. This is proof that what can happen with them can be just as disastrous. Either way, this innocent child paid the price. So sad.
