In the beginning, I was willing to give the father the benefit of the doubt, but now, I personally believe he was responsible. They had to get a court order to get his fingerprints, which is not how it should be. In fact, everyone knows that the spouse is always the initial suspect. If he had willingly gave his fingerprints, DNA, etc. I would not be as convinced. But his unwillingness to clear himself, reminds me of Christopher Vaughn and other such accused family killers. OH! And did I forget to mention that Chris has a girlfriend?? And supposedly she was a friend of Sheri’s in Florida (some friend, huh?) I expect to see Chris Coleman arrested any day. If I am wrong, ok. But when am I ever wrong???
UPDATE: Major Case Squad says one person responsible for Coleman family killings
Police: 1 person responsible for Columbia murders
Coleman affidavit
Police return house to Coleman
Candlelight vigil takes place for Coleman family
The Big Bloody: Father of Strangled Family Has Girlfriend in Florida

Wow, these three georgous people are gone forever. I think he did it too Bonnie. Anytime the law has to get a court order to make the ONLY LIVING SURVIVOR in the household give fingerprints, he’s guilty.

I can’t say I blame him, in high profile cases like this the police are under a lot of pressure to solve the case. Sometimes those who are on the short list of suspects get thrown under the bus.
The majority of people who have affairs, don’t kill their spouses.
Not saying he’s innocent, but I can understand his reluctance to get too close and friendly with the authorities.

I found this affidavit online and thought it held some interesting information.

poetrystruth, while I completely understand your point I still have a hard time understanding how, if a person is truly innocent, you could be even a tiny but reluctant to cooperate with police. He should be in shock, upset, sad etc. not worried about whether HE is going to be suspected. I think that it is such a shame, if he is the killer. He should never see the light of day again. How can you choke the life out of the mother of your children and worse how can anyone lay a finger on their children? There is no excuse for this, none at all. The thing that gave it away for me is that he calls home to make sure his kids are getting ready for school. His wife was home and he felt the need to check if she was doing what was probably a daily routine for her?? Then instead of running home, he calls police? Why? Because he didn’t want to be the one to discover the bodies. Then to learn he has been having a fling on the side?? Even if he didn’t do this, what a creep. Any man that can’t commit to his vows is not a man. Follow your heart not your you know what. Just so senseless.

pak31,
Damn good post. There’s nothing for me to say. Stevie Wonder can see that this creep in guilty. All of your points are VALID. And killing your spouse is NEVER ok. But to kill your own flesh and blood….death penalty coming right up.

poetrystruth –
Thanks for playing devil’s advocate here, but you are dead wrong. Yes, a lot of people who have affairs don’t end up killing their entire family – but SOME DO. In those cases, money or family pressure to remain in the marriage cause crime to occur. In this case, there are so many red flags that it is nearly impossible to rule him out. He did a welfare check shortly after leaving the home (to establish alibi), he worked in security yet his home was easily penetrated, he had a long term affair with a stripper & family friend Tara Lintz, the last time he visitied Tara in FLA was in Nov. 2008 with the ministries, and it was also the same month he had his wife’s name removed from the deed on their home, he NEVER told Sheri’s Mom that she & the kids were murdered – no, he lets the police break the news to Sheri’s MOm. I mean the list goes on & on.
Why did the police have to get a court order to get fingerprints, ect? Because he lawyered up & he wants to make it as difficult as possible to get caught. In the end, this guy will go down – mark my words. As a marine, he certainly knows how to strangle someone in their sleep quietly. He made sure not to make a mess in “his” home during his killing spree. No, this guy, religious or not, needs to pay for his sins & get the death penalty.

And if he was so religious, why is he having an adulterous affair? And killing his family (if he is the one who did this)? Does not sound very religious to me.

Good post Jenna. You hit the nail on the head. I can’t stand how these people think they are so smart when really they are idiots. Did he really think he could get away with this? He must have, but who is that arrogant?? I just sickens me. I really dislike people who are not who they seem to be. I mean I am what I am, the way I act at home is pretty much how I am at the store, at work, or anywhere. I have nothing to hide nor would I want to. This guy is a total hypocrite. Married yet a cheater. Working for a religious organization yet commiting adultery, murder, etc. Portraying yourself like the perfect dad, husband etc. yet at the same time living another life. He had it all, a wife, wonderful kids, a job yet that wasn’t good enough. So sad. Now 3 people are dead and he’s going to jail. Hope he’s happy.

As it turns out he was arrested as most of knew he would be. Who knows how long these poor people lay dead in their beds before he left to ‘go to the gym’.
It’s scary how much these people will risk for what they perceive to be ‘happiness’.
It’s scarier how normal they seem…normal people who are monsters from hell.
I bet this guy knew that he was about to lose his job, I bet they already had the low down on his affair, and he knew his wife would leave him, he’d be stuck with child support and possibly spousal support and no job.
Then again, it looks like he’d been setting this up for quite some time. What a scumbag.

So, I notice that Tara Lintz sure dumped her Facebook account pretty quick. But her photo is still floating around anyway.
What’s so darned appealing about being with a stripper? My son dated one once…I guess it’s every guys fantasy. He dumped her quickly when he realized that he couldn’t handle what she did for a living, even though it’s what attracted him to her in the first place.
What’s wrong with a man who would kill his wife and children to be with a woman who’ll take her clothes off for anyone holding out a dollar bill?

pak31 states, “I really dislike people who are not who they seem to be”. I LOVE that comment, because I feel the same way. I have MUCH more respect for a bank robber who comes in and demands money (he takes pride in his occupation) than I do for a blue-collar worker who sits behind a desk and steals quietly. At least the bank robber is blanantly honest. Like pak31 says, this creep has MANY faces, all of them PHONY. I know a couple of guys who would glady “take care” of Mr. Coleman. The same way he “took care” of his beautiful family.
It’s extremely hard for me to look at the picture of Ms. Coleman and her boys and not get teary eyed. I hope they beat the shit outta this guy everyday for the rest of his miserable life.
