When these tragedies happened, the press never says enough about the absentee-fathers. After pushing and kept the fathers away, the children are left alone and vulnerable. This is another symptom of the bankrupcy of our fatherless nation. May Jesus-Christ deliver us from the evil of fathelessness.
Can somebody say something about the fathers of these children? If these children lost their father because of Family Court Order, the US Judge who signed the order should be procecuted and put in jail for a long time because he signed the fate of these children. May God bring justice.
mental illness is a terrible thing & our society does little about it until things like this happen, then everybody acts all “oh my”. So needless. My heart goes out to the family. ~ May those young girls R I P ~
What a horrible thing to have happen. I can’t even begin to imagine what could have driven him to do something so horrible to his own sisters…
What does family court have to do with this story at all?
First off, it says that the parents AND grandparents lived at this house. How many parents do you need?
Second, Lots of kids have their fathers die young. Heck a lot of kids grow up just fine with one parent with nobody getting killed. And I’d sure rather see a kid grow up without a father, rather than having to live with an abusive father. I commend judges that order abusive fathers to limit contact with their victims.
In addition, the killer brother in this story is 23 years old, a grown man. And when the perpetrator is a grown adult, one could hardly point to insufficient adult supervision being the problem. Especially when you’ve got 2 generations of parents right on the premises. Grown adults are responsible for their actions. Simply blaming mommy & daddy’s divorce is not a legal excuse for a life of crime, nor a moral one.
I don’t think it’s a good idea to use the Bears thing with this particular story. I’m a fan, it’s not that…it just seems inappropriate somehow.
note from blog owner
My personal icon has nothing to do with any of my posts. It would be like saying using your photograph on your icon is inappropriate. It is my icon, used for my WordPress account. And since one of my blogs is a Bears blog, it is perfect for me.
It’s got nothing to do with the father (or mother) being present or absent.
What stress produces death in the family?
I would like to comment on the fact mentioned earlier. “In addition, the killer brother in this story is 23 years old, a grown man. ” Sisters and brothers we need to re-evaluate how we are rearing our children. My point is, a grown man should have had his own place, working, car, and his own family. We have produced a generation of no good men who won’t work, keep a roof over their own heads, and just simply refuse to committ to anything or anyone. We need to return back to God. Get God back in the picture. If not, we are all doomed. Acts 2:38 – Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
What a horrible thing to have happen. I can’t even begin to imagine what could have driven him to do something so horrible to his own sisters…
thenakedlistener, I was responding to the post by Kimy Beauvilord, opining about absentee fathers & lamenting about family court denying custody to fathers.
Exactly – it had nothing to do with this story that I could see, not even loosely related.
According to the articles, there were 2 generations of parents (plural) living at the home where this happened.
The sad fact is that a 2-parent home is no absolute protection against being a victim of a crime. If anything this story proves that even a 4-parent home is no guarantee against a family member perpetrating a crime against their own family.

Dear Kim,
Luke 6:37 (King James Version)
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.
…and the mother left this horrible person with her precious daughters because????
When does it stop?
That mother did not want that oaf around. Yet, she left those precious children with an ill person to throw a birthday party for a baby?
That mother did not want to be around that “boy”. How dare she use her “faith” to kill her daughters.
They could not run to work to get away as she clearly could.
I’m no psychologist but I believe it would be fair to suggest that this young man had to have suffered from mental illness – there’s no two ways about it. Siblings don’t typically go after each other with the intent to kill or decapitate. There’s a fine line between sanity and insanity and it appears that this time it was just too fine for anyone to detect see the mingling of the two.
May God bless everyone involved in this tragedy and hopefully bring some sense of peace to the survivors.
For those who pray… Please just do so right now for the family members in this tough time.
No one is judging anyone. Read your whole bible because neither space or Bonnie’s Blog Crime would not allow me to deal with the “judging thang. ” I mispelled intentionally! I would need to take you from Genesis to Revelations then I would need to bring in statistics and other current event issues along with what I see every day in the world of education. I have taught in the middle school and now at the high school level. I repeat it isn’t judging but what I witness everyday. Luke 13:5 ” … I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” I welcome one-on-one. Feel free to email me at mcwill_k@hotmail.com. Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
As I wrote in my “The United States of Stupidity” that mental health and lack of funding for same, will be the downfall of this country. It was the downfall of Rome where lead was unknowingly ingested with the wine from wine goblets.
It may not be high lead levels making people crazy here, but just being high. Most crimes are commited under the influence of something, be it Satan, drugs or alcohol.
Remember when Reagan emptied all the homes and institutions for the mentally ill? I do. Then ended up homeless along with the newly homeless through the decades.
We don’t care about crazy in this country, period.
Heloise
There are plenty of 23 year olds living with their parents. Do I think that’s ideal? No. Do I think it’s likely, or even sometimes unavoidable in today’s state of the economy? YES.
And the fact is, that MANY 23+ adults are still living with their parents and NOT murdering their siblings.
So I don’t think living with his parents is what caused this man to commit a heinous act like this.
And with this guy’s history of violence, I, for one, am GLAD he didn’t marry some poor woman. Heaven only knows what he would’ve done to her too!
Also, I’m not a particularly religious person. I’m definitely not a Christian. And yet I’ve never killed anyone. I’ve never stabbed anyone. I’ve never been arrested or anything like that. I’ve known atheists who wouldn’t hurt a fly. And yet some really terrible crimes have been committed by religious clergy and people who appeared to be very religious, people very active in their religious community and so forth. Not to mention how many people (of various relgions) commit heinous acts claiming religious motivation.
So sorry, while practicing a religion can be a very positive and wonderful thing for people and their communities, it’s clearly not the be-all end-all answer to end all crime on the planet.
All you have to do is read Dr Hare’s research on psychopaths (sociopaths) (read the book “Without Conscience”), and you see that there are some people on the planet are just not wired with a conscience, and nothing can change that. There’s no cure, and even if there was a cure, none of them would want it, because they don’t see it as a problem. They simply don’t care the way the rest of us do. Religious people call them “evil”, and that’s about the size of it really.
Is this murderer a psychopath? I’m not an expert, and I’ve never met the guy… But I’d put money on it.
I agree there’s problems in our society. But there’s always been problems, it’s not really new. There’s no clear definable advantage to the old-fashioned ways.
Murder is not new. People have been killing each other since the beginning of humans on Earth.
The ice man, Oetzi, found in the Alps, was murdered in 3000 B.C.
And hey, Cain killed Abel!
And domestic violence is NOT new. It’s just that up until fairly recently, society didn’t consider it wrong! So it wasn’t reported by the news or talked about publicly.
If anyone besides the murderer is to blame here, it’s society, and the fact that domestic violence isn’t taken more seriously. If he had received more serious consequences to the domestic violence incident in 2004, maybe this would’ve never happened.
Book of the Law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, “The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.”
Thats for all the people who constantly defend murders by using the bible to passage: Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.
When you kill your sisters in cold blood all is not forgiven!
this is to “lj” Did you know them? Your comments seem to be pretty strong, i hope you knew them, for you to post such a thing.
