February 8: 2003: Derrick Butler was shot and killed at 222 Waldo Rockford, IL. Adrian Green was convicted of his murder and sentenced to 16 years in prison. He has a tentative parole date of 2/22/2013.
February 8: 2011: Treybbian Leekey Nelson was shot to death in the 1000 block of Edgar St. in Greenville, TX. Bernard Dale Kelly Jr. and Tyron Learone McCurdy have been charged with his murder.

Florida - Jarred Harrell was given 6 life sentences for the murder of 7-year-old Somer Thompson (and other crimes, including child port).
Missouri - Alyssa Bustamante was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility for parole for the murder of 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten.
Recent Convictions/Sentences Overturned
TN - Lemaricus Davidson, Letalvis Cobbins, George Thomas and Vanessa Coleman have all been granted new trials due to Judge Richard Baumgartner's drug addiction and the crimes that went along with it. They will all be in court January 12 for a Motion Hearing.
FL Randy Chaviano had his murder conviction overturned due to the trial transcripts being erased by the court stenographer. No trial date has been set yet.

It’s been over a year now and I still can’t believe that Taryn and Ernest are gone. Terrence Watson has still not been to trial for what he did and Anna Hartman is that much closer to getting out. My grandchildren will never see their mother and E again and they have so many questions about why and how 2 people that they trusted could have betrayed their trust by killing their mother and E. Anna and Taryn, Ernest and Terrence were all friends………I just don’t understand how Terrence could have looked E in the eye and pulled the trigger on his friend so many times and then kill Taryn. Terrence is a coward!! There was no way he could have won a fair fight against Ernest. He had to bring a gun…..He will get his just reward! In prison for the rest of his life or the death penalty. It makes no difference to me! He will never be a free man again……..it’s too bad Anna isn’t sitting beside him facing the same punishment.

my son wan a good person the man who took his life don’t know what and who he took from us he will pay for what he done to my son and to my family. i want this trail to take place soon so that tthis boy can pay for what he done.

Im so sorry for your loss and I hope that justice is served. Although I don’t believe a human life should be held in the hands of Saline’s County” Sentencing someone to Dealth is not the answer.

Today makes 3 years my brother has been gone. We miss him so much as my mother said he was a good person. The word say Terrance will reap what he sow,and the Word also say what the enemy meant for evil God will turn it around and use it for the good, for those who trust and believe in Him. Put your trust in the Lord and He is going to handle all our battles. We must forgive those who wrong us, if we want the Lord to forgive us of our wrong doings. Forgiving someone who takes your love one in cold blood is hard to do but with God all things are possible!!
