Why hasn’t anyone researched to find out whether it’s true if Vincent had to recently fire Tim from the job out at the plant….?
Why hasn’t anyone reported on where Vincent’s current wife was, at the time of the incident?
The child barely moved in with Vincent, so why hasn’t anyone researched to find out whether there are any complaints, where the child was raised in Mississippi, against the child’s biological mother (Child Protective Services, Police, School, etc…)?
Teaching an 8 yr old, who is clearly not old enough to be responsible with a lethal weapon is like mixing alcohol and driving. The father it seems as though had signed his death wish. There are tons of stuff that an 8 yr old can be taught. Gun ain’t one of them.
Oh my God Bonnie, I don’t even know what to say. This world get’s sadder by the day. Thanks for the info. How are you feeling? My thoughts and prayers go out to this family and friends.
wow this is incredibly disturbing. I wish there was more info on this story. There has to be something more going on. 8 year old boys just don’t get up in the morning and kill two adults (one being his father no less) for no reason or motive or something.
I think video games create confusion in the minds of children. Eight year olds hardly distinguish real death from figured death. I think children should be banned from using guns until probably 18.
And there should be some kind of regulation on games content the same way that children shouldnt be allowed to watch violent movies. Where do crime ideas come from?
ok people look here, do some more reading.
Frist the step-mother worked just like most two parent homes, Secound the father has raised the boy he has full cusudty right to him, the real mother only comes in once in while , to throw a monkey rench in the works , please this is a wounderful family let the real story be told whne the judge is don, And yes i know them very well he was a great father always asking how his son was doing in school and if their was anything he could work on at home with him. I do understand that there has been a tragedy and it affects all, but please remember that this child DID murder 2 people, one of them being his father. Do you think this should just go unpunished? Just say “don’t do it again” and send him hom? Do you really? No wonder our society is failing and going to hell. He may not need life in prison, but he DOES need to be locked up for a while and get some help to change his way of thinking before he cannot change. 8 years old is old enough to know that killing a person is wrong.

The biological mother has lived in MS for years now. She did not have custody of this boy. His father had full custody of him. She only saw him 2 weeks out of one and a half years when she moved out of state away from the boy.
Duh…..Tim had just come in from work that afternoon and was on his phone outside talking to his wife when the boy lured him back into the home where he laid and wait and murdered him.

I don’t agree with that. Of course he will be judged. That is what our criminal justice system is designed to do.
And I hope he is sentenced to the maximum allowable which unfortunately will most likely be 18 and then he will be dumped into society’s lap again.
His acts are heinous and they were totally premeditated.
The day we start standing up for the murder instead of the innocent victims will be a very sad day in America.
He did the crime and he should be punished! period. No one is above the law or has a license to kill just because they were angry they got a spanking.

I don’t agree with that Sam and the statistics just aren’t there to support it either. Millions of young kids are taught to hunt all over America and millions of them never harm another living soul. And it shows gun safety was not the issue in this case. Before this one someone that killed another at this age happened in 2004. What it does show though is the father trusted him to use gun safety as he had instructed him to do and he betrayed that trust placed in him.
I think the better question would be is should parents who dares discipline their children lock up their guns to protect themselves from being murdered by their own child.
Safety was never at issue concerning this boy. Not a hair on his head was harmed. His two victims where the ones who wound up with 4 bullets each in their heads and chest, not him.

How do you know he did this? And don’t tell me because the police said he admitted to it.
the first 12 minutes of the interrogation was released and the child clearly says he did not do it. Then then police tells us he said he did do it. So, after how many scrutinizing hours did this child confess?
Your eight years old, you come home from school and find your father dead, then you get accused of doing it. You have these police officers asking you questions. They questioned the child without reading him his rights, not that he would even understand them anyway.
Don’t be so narrow minded. Ask open minded questions and don’t believe everything you hear or read.
What kind of things were the father and roommate involved in? How close was the two shot, at what range? blood splatter, was the home completely blocked off from further traffic so the homicide team could do their work?
These small towns don’t have the resources or funds to do a proper job so, the best thing is to do for publicity and political moves would be to accuse someone right away.
Or, maybe just maybe this small town is trying to cover something up? Maybe someone else killed these people in a botched act and accusing the child is the best way out of it.
It is ridiculous to believe that the entire town is conspiring against this child. It is a foolish assumption based on no evidence to support any of it.
Of course he denied it and he was confident that they would buy is outlandish stories that forever morphed because they didn’t add up.
He lied! Mrs. Roman proves he lies. Thank God that she was on the phone with her husband and heard this boy telling Tim to come into the home that something bad had happened to his dad. Tim was not dead on the front porch FIRST, like the boy said. Thank God she mentioned this to police the very night they both were murdered and thankfully Christian had no idea he was overheard when they did the interview with him the following day.
But isn’t this boy such a prince? He states that both his dad and Tim were already shot, quivering and shaking and he just happened to take the very same weapon (his own) and shoots them twice each to get them out of their misery. Wow, we have 2 year olds who can dial 911 to seek immediate help.
The weapon was found inside the home. He said that smoke from the firing of the rifle was in the house. It had to be at very close range and that is why it was so lethal because 22 rifles are used for long distance shooting and when fired right on top of a victim they become much more lethal.
The police had the scene secured within minutes. The evidence will speak for itself. This boy is the sole shooter and his elaborate story of him just being the one that finally snuffed out their lives wont even have to be entered at trial. They mentioned in the interview with him they already have witnesses that saw things that day.
Lets not jump into conclusions. We dont have a lot of info. What we know is that inocent, loving 8 year old boys dont kill just because…, specially if they are being loved. It can be some kind of mental problem and if not, there most be some other type of problem. I dont want to say he was molested, but again we dont know. We dont know if this other person who was living in the same house did something to him, or even if he was under his mother tutoring. Definitly, something is going on and it is not only his responsability for what happened, remember his father taught him how to use a gun. An 8 year old boy might know whats wrong and what is not, but they dont really know the extense of the consequences of their acts.
I’m a criminal defense attorney in Texas and am following this story, though not as an actual representative for any of the parties. However, all need to remember that there are procedures in place for ANY of us that may be accused, but to question an 8 year old, without counsel and / or a legal guardian is simply not acceptable. Do you understand and know your rights… and you actually think an 8 year old does?
The fact the father taught the 8 year old to use a gun is irrelevant. If a child is going to be around guns, you teach them gun safety and that includes how the gun works. I would bet more kids are killed by playing with a gun they don’t know how to use than by those who actually learn to use them. The fact of the matter is that the gun should have been locked away so that NO child had access to it. Who cares if the kid can or can’t use the gun? The parents responsibility is to make sure they don’t use it without supervision.
He’s 8!!! Seriously, he’s 8.. For any of you that dont have kids, you havent got a clue what they are really like, and 8 year old does not have the mind cappacity to think about, plan and pre-medidate a murder much less a double murder. Watch the WHOLE interview, that A should have never been conducted and B never should have been released, he very much denies everything and even asks the police officer “why would i shoot Tim” and only after 30 minutes of being called a liar does he say “I THINK I SHOT MY DAD” Its all “I think” never a real confession. Being a mother of a 6 year old when I think he’s not telling the truth and I press him eventually he tells me what he thinks I want to hear, and then later many times I find out he was telling the truth to begin with.. Point being kids aime to please and he was being badgered to tell the officers what he thought they wanted him to hear just for it to be done he was a tired, scared little boy .. an 8 year old who has done something wrong calls 911 to cover himself an 8 year old who is scared of what he has found runs to the neighbors crying wich is what he did! Personally no I do not think that he did it. If the boy was shooting his dad while the roomate was on the phone why did his wife not hear the shots being fired ?? I think there is blame to be made but not to the little boy I think that both female police officers should lose their jobs and the little boy needs to go home with his mother to MI because he will never have a fair life in that town and he needs major counseling, not only because of what happened to his dad and roomate but what the police have put him through. I feel for the entire family.
I read on another website that the boy’s father taught him how to shoot the gun, first mistake, and the boy said (not sure if it’s true or not) he kept tallies of the number of spankings and when he reached 1000 that was the limit.
This is just what I’ve read on other news websites.
The scary thing is kids seem to get younger and younger and commit crimes like this.
This kid was abused. I don’t know what time period this 1000 spankings was in, but it had to be fairly short, because more than a year or two earlier and the kid wouldn’t have had the skill to keep tally. That means they were spanking him every day, maybe more than once. Thinking about that makes ME want to kill them all over again. His father deserved what he got. I don’t know if Tim Romans was involved in it, but I’d have to assume it. These people were torturing this boy. It was their sadistic pleasure, not anything to do with teaching right from wrong, just pure enjoyment of humiliating and abusing someone too young to fight back. Or so they thought. But he did fight back. Poor kid. I’m sure he’s really screwed up, but at least we know why now. His father is the real criminal, not him.
BS. This kid was diabolical. He laid in wait. He plotted and planned this entire thing. Name me one damn 8 year old you know that has the ability to internalize rage and hatred at that young age where it would result in these horrific acts? This boy is not like other boys! God help us all, IF HE IS.
The lies just flow freely right out of this boy’s mouth, over and over. There is absolutely no evidence known or even in the court documents that remotely says this kid was abused. His outlandish tale of a 1000 spankings just shows how grandiose he makes his lies. He expects us to believe he just sat there patiently counting them each time until he reached that magical number. Preposterous. No kid with murder in his heart is going to wait to get spanked a 1000 times before they react like a Cobra.
We all better hope that this kid is not just dumped right back out in society with no treatment. He is a menace. He, at 8 years old already has two homicides committed. The Courts better stop him now and keep him locked up for years hoping that some of the treatment works.
He fought back my arse. He waylaid them like sitting ducks and they were still dressed in all their full work gear for the day.
Sarah,
“How do you know he did this? And don’t tell me because the police said he admitted to it. ”
Because among the lies he screwed up, which often happens when suspects are trying to hedge on what they did.
He clearly said that when he DISCOVERED his father’s body laying there that Vincent’s face was ALREADY covered in blood. Then he admits to being some sick twisted hero and says he THEN shot him in the head twice to keep him from suffering. Hello? And just how could that have happened when he ALREADY had seen the blood covering his father’s face? It couldn’t. The father only had TWO shots to the head. So the blood on the face of his father was when he stood right over him and fired into his head killing him, right after he had nudged his father’s body with the toe of his shoe. Before then his father had no head wounds as he lay there shot in the back. There was no mysterious unknown shooter that had first left his father’s face covered in blood. He was the sole shooter in that home that day and fired every shot.
He never said he shot him in the head he said “he thinks he shot hiim” but he never said he shot hiim in the head .. you cant possibly believe that an 8 year is capable of this ..
You can blindly follow this murderer if you wish but yes he did shoot him in the head. How do you think his father’s face was already bloody when he said he had to shoot him twice to end his suffering. He hunted game. They shoot the wild game in the HEAD to kill them so they will not suffer. Do you really think he shot him in the elbow to end his suffering and then shot him in the back because yes, he said he shot him TWICE after he discovered him yet blood was already pouring all over his dad’s face when this wacko nudged his own father’s body like he was a piece of dead meat, with the toe of his shoe. A psychopath in the making.
He says “I think?” Well the damn autopsy report will show he DID hit him twice so he want have to “think” he did anymore. So he can do all the “I think” he wants to but the evidence is going to show just how easily he lies.
This unknown shooter left them both alive and picked the smallest caliber weapon there to do it when there were much LARGER caliber weapons right there inside the home? Get real. This kid is not like any other 8 year old in this country, thank God for that. He is screwed up to the max. An 8 year old predator. Do you really believe that people only become bad when they reach 18? Many of these killers have done horrible crimes in their youth. This is one of them even though this one is rare but just as deadly.
Please Tim was Vincent’s boss!!! There is no way Tim was getting fired at work!
They were both very nice men…very respectful! If anything the ex-wife or Vincent’s new wife should be looked at…
1/ THE KID WAS PHYSICALLY AND /OR SEXUALLY ABUSED BY ONE OR BOTH ADULT MALES.
OR
2/ THE KID WAS INTO THE DEMONIC REALM and likely also SERIOUS VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES AND MORE .
Not likelyany other cause than 1/ and/or 2/ .
Next you see a married couple with kids, support them to stay together and work it out thru church or counseling or patience, not split up into chaos and no supervision.
What is an adult age 29 doing living in a house with a 8year old child ?
I think only through God and God only we are able to find out all the answers of who, why, what…but I do know the boy either knows something or he is the one that did it!!! I feel really bad for the families…I know it is very hard to lose a loved one!! God Bless the Romans family!!!

Safety was never at issue concerning this boy. Not a hair on his head was harmed. His two victims where the ones who wound up with 4 bullets each in their heads and chest, not him.

He did the crime and he should be punished! period. No one is above the law or has a license to kill just because they were angry they got a spanking.
November 19, 2008 at 10:57 am

November 24, 2008 at 6:59 pm

November 29, 2008 at 6:11 pm
November 30, 2008 at 2:43 pm

Only in America. Do you really believe an eight year old plotted and comitted murder. Do me a favour.
November 30, 2008 at 7:04 pm
He never said he shot him in the head he said “he thinks he shot hiim” but he never said he shot hiim in the head .. you cant possibly believe that an 8 year is capable of this ..
November 30, 2008 at 8:48 pm

If anything the ex-wife or Vincent’s new wife should be looked at…
December 23, 2008 at 10:29 pm
ONLY TWO POSSIBILITIES :
January 1, 2009 at 12:36 am
its just been found out that the boy had been severely beaten when he was examined by a doctor who do you think did that
March 9, 2009 at 1:36 pm
I think only through God and God only we are able to find out all the answers of who, why, what…but I do know the boy either knows something or he is the one that did it!!! I feel really bad for the families…I know it is very hard to lose a loved one!! God Bless the Romans family!!!
