  1. KH Says:

It’s about time!!! Gee and guess who they arrested, none other than Edgar Patino

  2. Monica Says:

WOW!! It is about time! Not a day went by that I didn’t think about her wondering when he would be arrested. Instead of paying child support, and dealing with a divorce from his wife, now he will get the easy way out with lethal injection.

  3. angel Says:

The paper says there will be a news conference at 11 AM Wednesday. Then he will be arraigned at the Cumberland County Courthouse Wednesday afternoon.

  4. KH Says:

It looks like John Wimunc and Kyle Alden are going to have company.

  5. wk Says:

I am so glad this happened sooner and not later. I don’t understand adults, men or women when it comes to take responsiblity for your actions, whom ever, they take the easy way out-murder. WHY, just leave, have nothing to do with the person, walk away but don’t kill the person. My hearts goes out to Megan’s family and you are in this homes prayers. G-D Bless

  6. angel Says:

A news conference was just held and this is the information they have released.
1.Edgar Patino was the father of Megans Child and he is currently married to someone else
    2. Patino purchased a typewriter the day before the Letter sent to Observer Times. The typewriter was found in his home.
3.Patino admits to being in Megans room at the Fairfield inn.
    4. Electronic time lock says the last use of key was June 13th. Time line of murder is night of 13th to early morning on 14th.
5.Patino was person of interest at the beginning. The police say items at hotel and from Patinos home are evidence.
Detective Joshua Carter says there are many months of investigation to go. No answers to cause of death they are awaiting coroners final report.

Fayetteville jail now houses 3 murderers, all of which a Ft Bragg Soldiers were killed. Will post as more information is brought to light

  7. Shauncey Says:

    Angel,
After everything you just stated, that makes one Edgar Patino, STUPID as hell.

  8. CDM Says:

Oh but he’s not STUPID….it’s only 2008..doesn’t EVERYONE still own a typewriter that still works….lmao!

    note from blog owner

I still have a working electric typewriter!!! hehehe!

  9. KH Says:

This guy is an idiot. A day before he sends the letter, he goes out and buys a typewriter and subsequently KEEPS it at his house. He is truly not sharp, if he didn’t think he would be high on the suspect list when they found Megan and that his house would probably be searched. Thus finding a typewriter. How many people keep typewriters at home these days with computers and all? How could this guy have been smart enough to be selected to go to some special ops school at Ft. Bragg? It makes you wonder about the overall quality of personnel in the military.

  10. Shauncey Says:

    CDM,
    LOL!!
    KH,
Weren’t we saying this all along???

  11. KH Says:

I wonder if M&M, Patino’s former 1st Sgt, in Germany is still reading here? I know it got a little tense on the blog, but I miss reading his perspectives, especially since he knew both Touma and Patino.

I read in an article in either the Fayetteville Observer or WRAL, that Patino’s wife packed a couple of garbage bags of stuff and loaded at least one kid in a car and took off. Can’t say I blame her. The media is probably relentless.

  12. Shauncey Says:

    KH,
Yeah, I know. It has to be tough being married to a cheating murderer. She’s a victim too. God bless her.

  13. angel Says:

Here is a link to the conference made by law enforcement if anyone would like to see it.
    http://www.fayobserver.com/special/touma/video.html

It has been reported the Patinos wife did leave her home with several trash bags and 1 child.

As far as blaming the military goes for schools. Slots for any school is based upon the ability of the soldier. We can not blame the military for the acts of cowards. There are bad soldiers just like there are bad civilians. Most soldiers fight and defend our freedom. Please dont forget them by judging them all by these acts. Thank you

  14. KH Says:

When I said quality in my above post, I was referring to reasonable intelligence. I should have been more clear. Also, I wasn’t blaming, I was wondering.

First off, a reasonably intelligent person would know that it isn’t a good idea to kill your pregnant girlfriend and if you do, then expect to be at the top of the suspect list, to include a house search. A reasonably intelligent person in Patino’s shoes would realize that it isn’t a good idea to keep a typewriter at their residence after they typed and sent absurd Zodiac Killer type letters to LE and the local newspaper. A reasonably intelligent person would surmise that LE would find the typewriter during a house search, if the typewriter was kept at home, and likely link it to the letters.

I’m saying it doesn’t appear that Patino, who was selected to go to a SPECIAL OPS school, was cream of the crop as far as intelligence and logic goes, which in turn makes me wonder about the quality of personnel that the Army had to choose from for these student slots. I would hope that the Army would send the best of their best to their Special Ops schools or at least a reasonably intelligent person. Maybe they do and this person slipped through the cracks.

I do agree that there is good and bad everywhere. Also, I agree that the vast majority of people in our Armed Forces serve to the best of their ability and honorably to defend our freedom.

  15. David Bryant Says:

Why are we so quick to judge? let’s not forget that SGT Patino is a Combat Veteran who has been acused, NOT CONVICTED!! He is a good man and an outstanding Soldier. SGT Patino served our Country proudly. You should be ashamed to judge him premature.

  16. Lavonna Says:

Who is so quick to judge? They found enough physical and circumstantial evidence to arrest him. Just a matter of time before the conviction.
    Such an outstanding solider eh?

  17. David Bryant Says:

    YES he is.

  18. David Bryant Says:

I think ya’ll are the idiots!!! There are several cases of people that were convicted and later overturned. I want solid proof before I beleive he did it. Hell, even if he did do it, are we going to take away the honorable service that he has done? Lavonna,It is obvious to me that you have not served your country in combat.

  19. mylifeofcrime Says:

    David Bryant,

He was a good man huh? But he was CHEATING on his wife. And got that woman pregnant. But that is good and honorable, right? Everyone should cheat on their spouses huh? Strange, his wife has now left him.

My husband has been in the military over 22 years, but he was not in combat, but was deployed twice. He is a GREAT man and would never hurt me or anyone else, except in combat (however, he is not a combat soldier). So I guess in your eyes he would not be a good man, huh?

  20. angel Says:

    David,

Patino a good soldier ,I belive not. A soldier stands up for freedom. This is a coward. He murdered his own child. Then he tried to hide it behind bogus letters of a serial killer. Maybe as a soldier he did his job but as a decent human being he has failed that miserably. Id like to see him stand in front of Megans family and let them end his life as he did their daughters and grandchild. No good decent soldier would ever do that.

  21. KH Says:

David Bryant – You need a dose of reality. This guy is a scum bag. Combat veteran or not, he is a pathetic excuse for a human.

Does it even strike you as odd that this person bought a typewriter a day before the letters were sent nd the authorities were able to tie the typewriter to the letters sent? Really, you can’t be that naiive.

  22. KH Says:

    nd should be and

  23. Lavonna Says:

    David
I have not served my country but I am a mother of 2 and I work Monday thru Friday and I have 2 elderly friends that I help out weekly whether it’s go to the store, check their mail (without pay).
But I have a Grandpa, father, 1brother, 1sister and lots of uncles that have served this country and they gave me the right to speak my mind and if you don’t like my comments well, all I know to tell you is get over it. :-)
I hate that anyone dies and it sickens me to know that she was pregnant almost ready to bring life in this world and HE thought he would snuff her life out! Well let me tell you something little buddy… where there is smoke there is a fire doesn’t matter if it is a big fire it’s there and it will all come out soon and you will know you’re buddy is not an outstanding person.

What is this? Jump on Lavonna day? that is 2 that has gotten upset with my comments. LOL

  24. Lavonna Says:

    Bonnie
Tell your husband that I thank him for his service even if he never went to combat.
All of those who have fought for our country, THANK YOU and God bless you.

  25. angel Says:

    Hi Lavonna,

I was not offended by your comments at all. The way they choose their soldiers for school is different. I agree with you Patino is an idiot. My husband served his time in the military on the front lines and my son in laws are serving their time. I totally understand your point of view.

  26. David Bryant Says:

Angel, So basicaly what your saying is us soldiers are not intitled to mistakes? IF he made a bad choice he isn’t a good Soldier? I don’t care what any of you say or think, As a Soldier SGT Patino did his job and he did it right. During a month long training school, I spent 2 hours in a fox hole with SGT Patino talking about everything from family to our experiences in Iraq and from that I learned a lot about him.
I do not condone adultry nor do I think it was a good descision on his part, but I don’t think that he is a horrible Soldier!!
KH- Don’t you EVER, EVER, talk to me about reality until the day comes where you ride on a plane to a combat zone. You do that, and maybe a listen to your crap about reality!!
Ya’ll are real sorry to judge.
For all we know she tried to kill him, you think of that in all your wisdom?
Since we want to judge, I’m going to judge ya’ll, I bet ya’ll watch to much CSI!! Lol
Not sure how old ya’ll are, but ya’ll have alot to learn about life!!

  27. mylifeofcrime Says:

    David Bryant,

Your comments are over the line. Just because people have not been to combat does not make their opinions or feelings any less valid. You are obsessed with being a soldier and mixing it up with that being all a man is. Edgar Patino may have been a good soldier, but if he killed Megan Touma, he is a horrible man and horrible HUMAN BEING, who killed another human being. And by the way, you have yet to mention anything good about the VICTIM, who by the way, is also a SOLDIER. But you do not call HER a good soldier or anything. You even insinuate it could have been her fault, even though she was 7 months PREGNANT.

You need to step back and look at things reasonably. But it is obvious you can. Megan is the victim here and she is the one that matters.

  28. CDM Says:

OK ya’ll are going to tear my post apart but I think everyone but David Bryant would agree with me. First of all I am glad that ya’ll saw the humor in my last post. And you said that you still had a typewriter that works. OK well so does my grandma..lol…but who just up and decides to go out and buy a typewriter in these the times of computers. And To Shauncey and KH…like we have said many times it doesnt take a nuclear scientist to figure these things out…thats why the CSI’s don’t go to school as long as the nuclear scientists…or they would be WAYYYYY over qualified for the job…lol.
I want to hear from M&M too…and see what he thinks now.
And To David Bryant…Makes me wonder what kind of soldier and human being you are. My husband is also in the military and he also has cheated on me…and continues to try to do so some. I am dealing with that..not asking for sympathy, but that makes him a disgrace to human kind…but yet he is still one hell of a soldier. I will never deny him that fact. But what he is, is what he is. In this case it is sad enough that Edgar Paterno killed anyone…that makes him a disgrace to humans. the fact that he killed his pregnant wife makes him a disgrace to humans, and a very sick man, the fact that he killed his PREGNANT girlfriend who was so far along that her child could have lived if born the day she died makes him the earlier mentioned as well, but the fact that he murdered his pregnant girlfriend in cold blood who just so happened to be a fellow soldier…makes him a bad soldier. That is the key to your comments. You are defending him not like any other soldier would..you are defending him like someone who is bias in his favor. And then you had the oudacity to even suggest that maybe she tried to kill him. Was he injured? NO! Usually there are some signs of a struggle when one tries to kill another. And they are quite sure he wrote the letters to LE and the observer…with a typewriter. Have you ever heard of strikepad comparison? This is not the first time that a murderer has used a typewriter and the letter has been matched to the machine by 99.9%. And if she had tried to kill him..he would have reported the death and held to his ground that it happened in self defense…not try to cover it up by drawing the mark of a well known serial killer on the mirror…and then purchasing a typewriter to send an anonymous letter to the FPD and the observer.
Now for Shauncey, KH, and Angel…I love all of ya’lls opinions..and views..but I have to say something. Can’t remember who it was that made the refernce to the fact that he wasn’t the type of soldier one would think of being in a psych ops school. Well from my observations and really following this case…he was the perfect psych ops student. Hence the word student. Its like he has this all planned out and knew just what to do to pull it all off…he knew the scheme of trying to turn suspicion off of himself by the zodiac killer thing..and leaving her body to decompose in a place where she would likely have privacy for at least a few days…but he looks like he would be the flunky student..lol. He forgot the most important thing..and that was as I mentioned before…the strikepad comparison for the typewriter. Kind of like the chemistry student who made the worst possible mistake and blew up the lab..lol. I think I covered it all…as I said im sure ya’ll will ell enjoy reading this one.

  29. ariel Says:

Didnt megan Know he was married????I guess knowing makes sleeping with someones man OK!!!

  30. CDM Says:

Sorry guys I made a refrence to Edgar Paterno killing his pregnant wife…I did mean girlfriend. Sorry for the typo.

  31. ariel Says:

Id like to see the DNA test saying that is is 99.99% the father?Has any one seen it?Not saying he isnt.

  32. KH Says:

David, I still think you need a dose of reality and maybe a little therapy. From your response, it appears your time in the fox hole may have affected you and your judgment. Seriously.

I’ve been around the military all my life and while I haven’t been in combat, I know plenty of people who have seen and been in combat, to include my husband. They would not do what Patino did. Part of being a good solider includes integrity (on and off duty). When you cheat on your spouse, you do not have integrity. Obviously, it started there with Patino and escalated to the point of muirder.

The bottome line is being a good solider, includes being a decent human being (I think Army leadership would agree). When you are a cold-blooded murder, you are not a decent human being.

BTW, if she tried to kill him then why didn’t he report the incident to the authorities when he killed her in self defense. I believe his actions and deceit (when speaking to LE during questioning) answer that question.

David – I apologize if I offended you, but you sound very young and naiive. I think Patino sold you some lies about himself during your 2 hours in a fox hole with him and you bought them.

Thank you for your service to our county.

God bless the victims of this tragedy.

  33. mylifeofcrime Says:

    David Bryant,

Please read my comment policy before you ever try to comment against. On my blog, you NEVER ever speak against the victim. Period. This is about her. Not Patino. Find somewhere else to discuss the virtues of the accused. But here, it is about justice and the VICTIM.

Also, being rude to me does not get your comments posted either. It is my blog, my rules.

  34. angel Says:

    David,

Good soldiers are not cold blloded killers. This man was married had an affair with a single soldier got her pregnant then killed her and his child. He may have served his country proud at one time but as of June 13th-14th he was no longer a good soldier. My husband is retired from the Army,my son in law now serves and is Iraq. Good soldiers do not KILL innocent people nor do they murder fellow soldiers. Maybe you need to go speak to a Chaplain for some counseling. I cannt understand why you think he is a good soldier at this time. The facts are real the story is real. If she tried to kill him then he had nothing to hide. The evidence shows the truth. He bought a typewriter the day before. What are you going to think when the evidence shows it was that typewriter that wrote the letters. They have more physical evidence. He staged the murder scene to look like there was a serial killer. He knew exactly what he was doing. These actions are not that of a GOOD SOLDIER. Speak to your commanders they will give you the real truth.

  35. Lavonna Says:

Hi Angel, I’m glad you weren’t offended.. Liked reading the comments from you. So true

  36. KH Says:

Homicide suspect’s wife plea for privacy

    note from blog owner

I also received an email on this. Therefore, do not post any comments about Edgar Patino’s wife, as she has nothing to do with this and she does not deserve people talking about her. Stick to the subject at hand, please. Have some respect for her and what she is going through.

  37. Ebna Says:

If I may, I would like the opportunity to put in my piece here. I wouldn’t say that I knew Edgar too well, but I did spend a great deal of time with him over a period of three weeks. We hung out during training and during the weekends. I am disgusted by the crime that has occurred and would like to offer my humble condolences to the family of the victim. I would just like to clear up the thing that I know.

    1. Edgar was attending school for physiological operations.
    2. He had tried previously to become a Special Forces Operative.
    3. He made it through the long SFAS course but was not selected to go on to the “Q course”.
    4. While I knew him at “Airborne” he proved to be a great soldier.

Now, I must admit myself that the evidence against him is very substantial. I hope that they are all wrong, but I feel they are not. If I may say to David as someone who knew Edgar and has served in Iraq and is currently doing so again; I feel your pain brother. You are not alone.

  38. mylifeofcrime Says:

    Ebna,

What about Megan? Your comment is ONLY about Edgar, but my blog is about justice and the VICTIM, who is not Edgar. You did not even say one word about Megan. Just because you know Edgar does not mean anything. Don’t you feel any empathy or compassion for Megan and her loved one? Your comment does not show that.

  39. KH Says:

In Ebna’s defense, he did offer condolences to the family of the victim in his post.

  40. Ebna Says:

    Mylifeofcrime,

I do wish that I could sympathize with the family of the victim. If the charges against Edgar are corroborated and proven (as they most likely will be) than I will make the choice to remember him as I knew him. The act and crime which was committed was wrong and shines light on the true evils that do inhabit our lives. I wish that the family of the victim has the strength to deal with the overwhelming emotional stress they must be dealing with. Any words I may have to offer them in their loss would be forever fruitless. I hope none of us ever have to deal with this type of true tragedy.

  41. Ebna Says:

Also, in my original post, I only wished to clear up a few things that had been obscured about the Special Operations Community. It is my opinion that the majority of the soldiers serving in it are some of the best our country has to offer. I hope that the people reading this blog don’t think that SGT Patino’s actions emulate any of America’s service men and women.

  42. mylifeofcrime Says:

    Ebna,

I guarantee that words of kindness and sympathy DO matter to the family and loved ones of a victim. I know it for a fact as my family has had to deal with this. For them, especially right now, hearing only support and kind words about the person accused of killing their daughter and her unborn child are very painful. For me, it has been over 30 years, but it still hurts, every single day.

  43. Ebna Says:

    Do you have their E-mail?

If so, I will send such condolences myself if it will assuage any pain they may be experiencing. I’m sorry if I offended or hurt anyone with my post. I was simply attempting to introduce a different perspective into the matter and to clear up a few things.

  44. KH Says:

“And sources tell NBC17 that Patino sent threatening e-mails to Megan Touma in the weeks and months leading up to her death.”

    http://www.nbc17.com/midatlantic/ncn/news.apx.-content-articles-NCN-2008-07-29-0017.html

  45. Ebna Says:

Lets all be “real” here. He probably did it. Anyone think that he feels bad about it? (not that it matters)

  46. KH Says:

I think he feels bad that he got caught.

  47. rebelle Says:

I knew Megan briefly from Germany. She was a pretty girl with a great sense of humor. She didn’t seem like someone that would knowingly sleep with a married man. The soldiers that were stationed in Bamberg and then deployed to Iraq lost many fellow soldiers. My son has been to Iraq and said that his fellow soldiers are even closer than brothers. It is probably very difficult for anyone that knew Patino in this capacity to come to terms with the possibility that he has done something so horrific. My heart aches for Megans’s family and Patino’s family. I hope they get the answers and peace they deserve.

  48. NPoe Says:

I’ve really been trying to follow all the cases here in NC. As it turns out I live 4 miles from Edgar Patino. And come from a military family. No I’m not the spouse .I’m the sibling, cousin, niece. What really irks me is this. There’s going to be those out there that will claims his time in combat is to blame. If that were the case don’t you think we’d have hundres of thousands spouses, girlfriends .mistresses dead by now? I think the men in WW2 ,Vietnam ,the first Desert Storm, would of done this as well .But they didn’t… These soldiers aren’t the norm. They are the weak, didn’t quite make it to manhood low lives that they are. And please don’t clump they with the good decent honorable soldiers…. Patino, and his fellow criminals are a disgraces to the uniform, their fellow soldiers, and the proud citizens that support the military.

  49. CC Says:

I went to high school w/ Megan and it honestly doesn’t suprise me that this happened to her. She always liked boys and was naive. However, she was a sweet girl who had a contagious laugh! I really wish things had been better for her-she was so happy to be going into the army…

  50. ariel Says:

A good soldier is a person that does right by our country not a good person in general. And i can not believe all the people that say war makes our soldiers do the things they do….Then all the soldiers would do the things that those kind of soldiers do like “Jeffrey McDonald’they have to be mentally able to do the things Egdar Patino Lopez did.

  51. SoldierSoul Says:

I knew SGT PATINO when he was a SPC. We wer ein the same unit same company for about 2 yrs. We deployed together. Its just kind of hard for me to believe that he would do something like this. I always knew Patino to be a quiet, easy going guy, never think he would do something so horrible. My heart goes out to the victims family, and my heart also goes out to Patino, and his wife an kid. Everyone is talking about what a bad thing he has done, and yes it is bad, but what about the Wife???????? and her child?????? I dont think you guys should be writing derogatory things on this post about him, becasue you never know his wife could read these things and I dont think it would be a good thing for her. an SGT Patino was a great soldier, but great soldiers make stupid choices.

My heart and prayers go out to you Patino, keep you head up man, an soldier through this an take your punishment like a man.

Touma/baby my heart goes out to you and your family as well.

  52. angel Says:

    Hi SoldierSoul,

What about Megans family do they count? They will never be able to hold their dayughter or grandchild. Megan is the victim here. I feel sorry for Patinos wife and child. This site is about her and Im pretty sure what has been said here his wife is well aware of its all over the news. I read over and over he was a great soldier. My husband is retired military he was a great soldier. Murderers are not great soldiers.

  53. KH Says:

Unfortunately, Heileen has to live with the repercussions of her husband’s awful actions. That is just the way it goes. If I were her, I’d go home to Puerto Rico where I had family to offer me support.

Unfortunately, Heileen and Megan made a bad choice to get involved with Edgar.

    On another note:

Holley’s family had to get legal permission from John Wimunc to retrieve what remains of Holley’s belongings from her apartment in Fayetteville.

    http://www.fayobserver.com/article?id=301742

  54. KH Says:

Opps, I should have posted the holley stuff on her forum.

  55. ariel Says:

Bad people do NOT come with a certain look about them….if that were so Im sure that there would be alot less crimes.People would know to get away.I also thought Egdar Patino Lopez was a nice sweet young man.I did not feel a threat twards me.And Im sure His wife and Megan saw the same. But if people could go back in time with what they know now then alot of peoples lives would be alot better. But life doesnt work that way.You learn by yours and others mistakes. You cant change the past….But you can look back and learn.
OHHH and I believe that egdar patinos wife will learn alot more worse things when the whole truth comes out about Edgar Patino Lopez.

  56. Turtlelady Says:

You guys are way off about Edgar Patino being a nice guy. I know all about him. Someone in my family knew him while he was in Germany . I am not saying who this was because they do not need you all talking about them. This person ran around with Megan last fall when Edgar was going to her room and making the baby. He was very jelous if Megan even talked to another man. My family member had told me all about these two before any of this happened. In fact when fox news told about Megans death my family member called me and said to get on web that Edgar had killed her. Soooooooooooooo people already knew it was him from his actions when they were together. Also most of the soliders my family member knew that were at that base were not great guys. And alot of them were cheating on their wifes and the wifes were cheating on their husbands that were deployed.

  57. leimaze Says:

I remember megan me and my buddies use to party with her at the green goose in bamburg germany she was a sweet girl and could dance her ass off my heart goes out to her family. And as for lopez met him a few times never liked him much seemed very full of himself.

  58. mia R. Says:

Hey ya’ll I know this is so after the fact. But I just moved here not too long ago and I had read up on this before I moved here because it was in the ft. bragg newspaper. I have read all your post and all of you have great oppinions. And nobody is wrong in thinking what they think. but have you ever considered this fact. Ok me and my husband have both served in a combat zone. Now being over in a combat zone exspecially being an infantry soldier you come back being really nutty. I should know my ex husband is a crazy person seriously and it is so easy to push his buttons where he just explodes and cant contain hisself. Hence the reason we are not together. But if you sit back and take a look at the whole situation and think of all the ways that this could happen you would start to see what I see. For one has anyone ever thought that an argument could have erupted between them two and it got so heated he end up killing her. Im not condoning his actions and I think its a disgrace on any body for killing someone. But just look at it. he has served over in Iraq and that in itself can make some one crazy and relitively easy to explode in anger. Perhaps he didnt kill her because she was pregnant and he didnt want his wife to find out. Maybe She found out he was married and an argument started between them and things got so heated and he ended up killing her. He realized what he did and tried to cover it up. Ya never know. We will only know when and if he ever decides to be honest and actually admit to killing her and then the details will come out. It does not make him or anyone else a bad soldier. Being a soldier has nothing to do with your personal life on the contrary. They teach you in the military to keep your personal life seperate from your military life. So by that you can be a perfect soldier by day and a horrible husband/rapist/muderous/cheater/liar by night. Get what Im saying. So basically what Im saying is that you can be this perfect person at work (the military) and your home life be a mess. I know a few people exspecially one that my current husband works with. now if you did not know him personally then you would never know that when he goes to work he is a great soldier but when he goes home he is a drug user and his wife is one too. She beats on him and drains his bank account. But yet when he goes to work nobody knows. This went on for years until he came back from iraq recently and she started the same crap and he snapped and ended up in jail. Now everyone knows. So now do you understand. So when Mr. David said he was a good soldier thats probably all he has ever known of the man is him being a soldier. So nobody is wrong in their oppinion. My prayers go out to megan and her family. Nobody deserves to die by someone else’s hand. And I hope that justice is served. I am not condoning his actions just simply explaining the life of a soldier and what the military teaches them. And for those of you who have been soldiers you know what Im talking about.

I knew both Soldiers, and Pray that over the almost 1 year timeframe that Megan’s family has found some comfort in the great memories they shared with. Mia R. I agree with your entire post about what constitute a good Soldier and how a Soldiers’ personal life is separate from the work life .

Turtlelady, what you heard about most Soldiers at Bamberg ”
.” Also most of the soliders my family (member knew) that were at that base were not great guys. And alot of them were cheating on their wifes and the wifes were cheating on their husbands that were deployed”. That is not true; Bamberg, Germany is a great community of very faithful Soldiers, your family member probably choose negative associations.
