I also agree with this. And any other one that does this. It is so obviously deliberate! You don’t cut a baby out accidentally. I hope that the baby survives, but I believe it is in critical condition.
Yeah she is obviously unstable in the head in some way. She is clearly dangerous and shouldn’t be let free, but I think her mental state needs to be determined before we figure out what the proper punishment should be.
I keep thinking about the husband/father of the woman. The pain he must be in! This is the most heinous thing I have ever heard of happening!
I agree with Male Feminist about waiting to see what her state of mind is first because she has no criminal records. I actually know what her profession was (or it could have been a lie too just like her lies to her own family about being pregant), and i don’t think she could have possibly been sane when committing this crime.
This is not the first time a mother has been killed and a baby torn from her womb. I disagree. If that bitch had enough sense to perform a crude c-section, try and cover up the evidence AND pretend that she was pregnant, that spells PREMEDIATED murder. She planned to do this. It is clear that she does not have any mental illness. Anybody that is ill like that will not have the time to log in and out of their myspace profile and updating their headline and/or status like any other individual.
She knew exactly what her intentions were. She claims that she was pregnant (obviously she isn’t) and knew that she had to do whatever she could to come up with a newborn baby.
Death Penalty. She deserves it. I feel horrible to see this happen. A mother-to-be, besides already having 2 kids. Thisi s just SO F’d up.
RIP Araceli Gomez. You will be missed. It kills me the way you were taken from your family and friends. God bless you and your unborn baby.
This woman should NOT get the death penalty. That is just an easy exit. I suggest life in prison. Once the girls in there find out what she’s been convicted of, she will be beat, harassed, and tortured until she DIES. I will gladly provide my tax dollars for that. I worked in the same facility with her when I was pregnant. That makes me think about what could have happened. She worked in activities with the elderly then became a CNA. One of my best friends knows her very well and said that she has always been kind of “weird.” She has always had an obsession with getting married and having a baby. Her husband and family were all fooled into thinking she was pregnant. When she couldn’t produce, she found a victim and became “friends” with her. She stabbed this woman in the chest repeatedly and cut the baby from her womb. She then dumped the body in the park and called 911 because the baby wasn’t breathing. She was found in the back of a car in a parking lot with nothing but a shirt on, covered in blood and matter, holding what appeared to be an umbilical cord, trying to pass the baby off as her own. Absolutely disgusting and inhuman. Regardless of her mental state at the time this woman should be torchered for all eternity. Nothing can justify taking someones mother and wife away in such a brutal way. God bless the Gomez family and baby.

I worked with Phienghchai Sisouvanh and she is not crazy!!! She must receive the death penalty for what she did! She did this because she had not other way to get out of the lies that she was pregnant!!!! When they execute her I will be at the prison waiting with applause!!!!!!

My mom and dad actually knew Araceli. She was a friend of theirs. Not a close one, but still a friend. They were terrified when they heard the news.
She and her husband lived with a family that my parents are very close with while she was in California. They went to a Catholic Religious Group every now and then.
I didn’t personally know her, but judging from how I know some her friends and family, they seem liked they would want her to remain in prison instead of having the death penalty.
May god be with the victim’s family and this crazy women deserves to spend the rest of her life in a place where she can never hurt anyone again!!! i can’t imagine any normal human being could do something like this. my heart goes out to the Gomez!!!She should be put away forever and let her suffer!!!!killing her would be giving her an easy way out!!! My heart goes out to the family of Araceli Camacho-Gomez. This is a such a tragedy and has left everyone in shock.
We have organized a fundraiser, all proceedings will be contributed to the family. There will be a CAR WASH held at BANK REALE IN PASCO, WA off of Rd 68 on SATURDAY JULY 19, 2008 from 9-3. There will also be snacks and refreshments for sale. Please feel free to come donate your time in supporting this family that is need.
My family and friends and I knew Araceli when she lived in California. She was always smiling and happy and that is the way we would like to remember her. We hope that her death does not go unpunished. We also hope that Juan Does not forget that Araceli was a great individual, a great mom, and a great wife that even now after her death she is watching and caring for her children. She will always be in our prayers and never forgotten
I got in a car accident with the killer in high school (Southridge) . I rear-ended her suv with my car. I wish i could go back in time and not have hit the breaks.
Scary to think I went to school with Phiengchai’s family. Living in a place like Kennewick where you see crime pretty often but never murder. Especially this brutal. So sad.
