This boy has ruined numerous lives. He deserves everything thats coming to him. I hope Eve’s family can rest a litle easier knowing that they have her accused killer.

  2. Shauncey Says:

He has the nerve to be ina stand-off? Can someone please pop a cap in his a** right now and get it over with?

  3. Tubby Says:

I live in Raleigh and driving home from work the radio said that Mr. Lovett was not found in the house in Durham and is still at large. I’m very grateful for the arrest of Mr. Atwater and I thank the Durham and Chapel Hill P.D. for their brave and hard working officers. I have a feeling that Mr. Lovett will be found soon. I’m also very grateful for the kind hearted souls that have given numerous tips to the police that have lead to the capture of Mr. Atwater. Now the justice system can start it’s process and the murderer of Eve Carson will be held accountable for his horrific and sensless crime.

  4. Lisa Says:

I’m glad that they’ve caught Eve’s killers so that justice can be served. It was dismaying to read so many hateful comments on the other thread as they took away from remembering the victim and were in direct opposition to the kind of tolerance that she stood for. In the end what matters is a talented, beautiful young life was cut short because of a senseless violent crime and now the people responsible will be punished.

  5. Shauncey Says:

    Good idea Matt

  6. Matt Says:

They should have been taken out in the streets. The Orange county legal system will screw this one up. Maybe Carl Fox can be the judge so he can give them a defered sentence or even time served. Great their caught but now they will get 2 or 3 lawyers a piece and this thign will drag out for years. Meanwhile they will develop a cult like following in jail for their notoriety. Those thugs on the inside will only laud their latest caper.

  7. Ken Says:

Matt, I wish the authorities would release these clowns to the public…. chain them up on the courthouse steps, and just let everyone have a go at it….. our justice system just doesn’t work… these two clowns will probably be out in a few years, as they both already have criminal backgrounds and have been in trouble before. Let the people get hold of them, and maybe idiots like these will think twice before doing something again!

  8. Shauncey Says:

Can I be first, or at least second in line?

  9. Shauncey Says:

    Where do you sign up?

  10. joe public Says:

I think it was a terrible crime. They deserve corporal punishment. Get a rope out please!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. joe public Says:

    These boys are worthless

  12. Lavonna Says:

Bianca none of us were there so you don’t know for sure he is innocent. Why all caps? Makes it hard to read.

  13. keepin-it-real Says:

Remember Ennis Cosby , Bill Cosby’s only son , was murdered
by a white man – he is serving life in prison. One thing we need to teach our kids is street smarts and learning how to use a weapon. The police need to address the gang problem that seems to be prominent in the triangle area.

  14. disappointed in society Says:

I do not feel that anyone should have to lose their lives…this world is going to the dogs…people are killing people for no reason …children are killing their parents, people are walking in to shopping center center colleges, mall and just killing people 4 no reason ….NONE AT ALL….black, white, indian, hispanic, arabic…it does not matter…..PEOPLE R LOOOSING THEIR MINDS….we have to get it together real soon or saldy some one we know our chidre, ourseleves will fall victim to the same fate as eve carson…..is unfortunate, but true ….We have got to stop hating each other….please.LOVE AND HAVE A CHANGE OF HEART 2 U ALL…This is especially to Matt and all the others…I am a black female and was very upset for what happened to eve …i feel like they both deserve the death penalty…but please do not condem the black racist because we are not all like that…..PEACE

  15. joe public Says:

Crime is not a matter of race. Killing innocent people is always wrong. If these boys are guilty they should be given the death sentence. No because of their color, but because they deserve it.
The victim’s family is suffereing for no reason. And the boys if guilty have hurt their own mom’s.
There is no acceptable reason for this crime.

Corporal punishment is not a racist act……

Punishemnt to meet the crime. If they are guilty they should recieve maximum punishment. THis kind of crime is not forgivable. THey have wasted their lives……

  16. joe public Says:

Hey Joe, You make a good point. Obviously with a record the young man you are speaking about did not learn that he was out of control. The courts didn’t convince him, and neither did the police. He thought he should be able to get away with the things he was doing. Or stupid enough to think it was cool or impressive. Regardless he was a thug, a low life waste of a person who has no respect for himself or other people. And most the time these types hang around each other. Encouraging bad things and bad stuff on each other.

My parents taught me not to hang around bad infuence and bad people. If you do they pull you down and have a bad effect on you. You can even get in trouble by association. Most likley these bad boys are victims of fatherless childhood or something of the nature. Or bad friends…..

Be careful of the company you keep!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. joe public Says:

Does anyone think it was a hate crime? A racist crime? They picked the victim because she was white? Were they jealous of her color? Jealous she looked like she was on top of the world? Was she picked because she was a helplus woman? WHy her? WHy a white woman they didn’t know? Where they made at what she stood for (a race complexity issue thing)?
Or was it just sensless brutality?
Sensless lashing out at the public at large(no then they would just vandalize).

I think maybe they knew it would cause outrage, to fuel racial tension, to fuel hate between lots of people. To many people fuel tension for no purpose but rage…….

  18. joe public Says:

Nobody responded to my questions about these boys motive.

I think to often internal rage can cause young people to make terrible choices. I feel bad they are victims of their own sad choices. No normal person can find anything acceptable about anger and agressive behavior.

A comment above about the Marine killing his white girlfriend. He too should be punished to the extreme. Nothing less!!! He is just as bad as these young black boys. Most of us doesn’t care about race, color or religion, crime is crime.

If the yare guilty they deserve full punishment not be casue of their color, their color has no meaning. Killing is always wrong. Their color should never be considered, only the crime.

  19. Shauncey Says:

    joe public,
I definately agree with what your saying.

  20. Shauncey Says:

    COLOR DOESN’T MATTER

  21. TEE TEE(DEMARIO BLOOD SISTER) Says:

this goes out to all of the people that think its b/c of race or to the people that think demario(my older brother). why are yall saying these bad and evil stuff about my brother. yall dont know if he did it or not. i no for sure that my brother didnt do it b/c he was at home chillin with me when this all happened.so all yall can kill yallselves or rot in hell!!!!

    note from blog owner

How racist can YOU be, assuming that people believe he murdered Eve because he was black. NOPE! It is because he is accused of killing a human being. He also has a criminal history. And IF he was home with you “chillin”, I hope you can prove that. And I hope you have ALREADY told the police this, rather than them find you from here.

  22. Lavonna Says:

    Tee Tee,
You don’t need to come on here with an attitude, telling people to kill themselves or burn in hell.
This site is for Eve, not your brother who is the one that is charged with her murder.
Have some respect and sit down and shut your piehole.

  23. Shauncey Says:

    Tee Tee,
So he was home with you huh? And what jury do you think is going to buy that?

  24. joe public Says:

I hope the truth will be found. If a person shows repeated signs of criminal behavior, then often they are i ntrouble again and again. And the bad part is it will be hard to prove if they are innocent, because history shows they can’t properly live in society.

Criminal behavior should be punished. And killing anyone for any reason is wrong. I think all violence against any women, children, or older people by any male is even more serious.

  25. joe public Says:

I can understand how Tee Tee is reacting. Part of it is protecting someone, maybe disbelief. even betrayal. And if he is guilty even if by association that too is a crime.

Be careful who you hang with!! Many people end up in trouble this way.

  26. Tee Tee(demario sis) Says:

FIRST OFF Y R NON OF YALL SAYING ANYTHING TO ALL THESES PPL THAT IS SAYING RACIST STUFF SO YALL SHUT YALL POT HOLE. IM SORRY FOR DISRESPECTING EVE WEBSITE AND IM SORRY FOR HER PAST N I WISH THE BEST FOR HER FAMILY. MY BROTHER WAS CHARGED WITH POSESION OF A GUN B/C IT WAS A PARTY AT HIS HOUSE AND IT WAS A GUN IN THERE AND THE POLICE PUT IT ON HIM. PLUS JUST B/C HE HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD DOESNT MEAN NOTHING AT ALL SO YALL CAN STOP SAYING THAT. ALOT OF PPL HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD AND THAT DOESNT MEAN THAT THEY ARE BAD AT ALL.

  27. TEE TEE Says:

HIM GETTING AWAY WITH ALL THESE CRIMES ISNT HIS FAULT. its the courts fault so dnt put that on him. the media is putting one side of the story out so nobody dnt know the real side but his lawyer and me and my family so if you think he is guilty, you need to look up your sources.

    note from blog owner

Funny thing, you sure are not say he was innocent of any of those crimes, just that he got away with them. Maybe it is about time he really pays for what he has done.

  28. Shauncey Says:

    Tee-Tee,
Do not let the racist comments upset you, they are irrelevant and have no meaning. Please read Joe Public’s post again, it’s makes alot of sense and it’s true. Have you ever heard of guilt by association? If your brother knew what was going on, he is just as guilty. It was very nice of you to wish the best to Eve’s family. God bless you.

  29. Getting to know the facts Says:

    Tee-Tee
Keep in mind that your brother admitted (pleaded guilty) to possessing a firearm. You didn’t see him “Denying” his issue with carrying guns. Now did you? Think about what you are putting out there. You said that it was a party at his house and there was a gun in there… What is a gun doing in there in the first place?? You are trying so hard to defend him, that you are only putting him further in the HOLE. “There was a gun in his house… Police planted it on him.” Well: I quess so, if the gun is in there for evidence. Wake Up and smell the coffee! Its much more serious than how you are telling it. He needs you to keep the truth upfront with him while being supportive. You all making excuses for him will only make things worst. He is an Ex Felon dear…. He is not supposed to even have a gun in his possession period.

  30. Getting to know the facts Says:

    Tee-Tee

Also, his getting away with all these crimes are very much his fault. You are giving away his responsibility for taking ownership to the courts. Ok!! Sounds like you are telling us that your brother is not bright enough to make his own decisions about cutting out on his crime. He has to be told by the courts. I see… Give him more credit than that. He is not that “Helpless” soul out there. You are doing him a lot of dis service, supporting his BS.

  31. TEE TEE Says:

I KNOW THE POLICE DIDNT PLANT THE GUN IN HIS HOUSE. FIRST OF ALL, HE DIDNT KNOW THAT THE GUN WAS IN THERE AT ALL. YEAH HE PLEAD GUILTY B/C EVEN IF HE DIDNT, THEY WOULD HAVE STILL PUT IT ON HIM SO WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?HUH? HOW AM I PUTTING HIM FURTHER IN THE HOLE IF IM JUST TELLING THE TRUTH SO YOU WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE!! B/C THE GUN WASNT IN HIS POSESSION, THE POLICE FOUND IT AND NOBODY DIDNT CLAME IT AT THE PARTY SO THEY PUT IT ON HIM. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME HE GOT ARRESTED FOR SOMETHING SERIOUS. PLUS EVERYBODY ISNT PERFECT. ITS ALOT OF PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD THAT ARE FELONS AND STUFF SO WHY ARE YALL PICKING MY BROTHER OUT OF EVERYBODY?TO BE HONEST, I DONT CARE WHAT YOU SAY OR THINK B/C I NO WHATS THE TRUTH. YALL ARE JUST BELIEVING WHAT THE MEDIA IS SAYING AND THATS BS

    *note from blog owner*

TEE TEE: Please do not type in all capital letters. It is very rude and hard to read. I will not allow any more comments to come through like this.

If this is your brother, you have an uphill battle to climb. It is hard to believe anyone you know or love can do these things, but it happens. Are you actually claiming that he is innocent of the murders? Does he have a REAL alibi and actual innocence? Everything I have seen (court documents and such) does not portray a productive citizen. Did he have a real job? Was he attending school? Was he using drugs?

If it bothers you what people are saying, then don’t go looking for the information. And don’t post here, as this page is for the VICTIM, not to defend the accused.

  32. Getting to know the facts Says:

    Tee-Tee
You are missing the entire point. It’s not what the media is saying. It’s what your brother owned up to. How are you putting him further in the hole. For one, you are telling the media that he has a gun in his house. Now you are saying that he didn’t know he had the gun in the house. Tee-Tee! So you are implying that he is not aware of what’s going on in his own home. Humm… How come?? Then this should tell you that your brother needs to be more “Conscious” of what’s being distributed in his possession. He is hanging around people he has know clue on what they are doing, according to you. Yeah Right! Ok! If you really believe he
has know clue on how the gun got there, then you need
help. I hear you though. He is your brother and you must
protect him. If you don’t, who will? I’m not listening to any media and their BS. I am listening to you. A very hurt young woman who is really searching for the answer to
a confused brother. You are on here faithfully, almost as
if you are questioning what he did.. You can bring this to the public if you want,,, but you are not fooling me for one minute. I am not convinced that you buy into your brother’s innocent. You even said yourself that he has a criminal record which is??? Are you ready to address his crime
or are you still in denial?? Maybe the gun in his home
was not his at that particular time, but the facts are:
He has had gun charges in his past. They police are
going to put it on him, because the gun has landed
in his house. He is guilty by association. But this is
on a serious note: Be mindful that anytime you do
not know what’s going on in your own home, this
is a BIGGY. I wouldn’t go around mentioning this to
anyone Tee-Tee, if you are trying so desperately
to protect him. He should know what is happening
in his domain. I’m sure that he hasn’t lost control of
his “mind.” Right! He is a bright person.

  33. Getting to know the facts Says:

One last thing.. You said “The gun was not in his possession.” Ok then! let me rephrase it. The
gun was in his home which is a part of what he
possesses. Even if he doesn’t know the gun is
there, it’s still on him. The police looks at the
“owner” of the house dear. Why do you think
his buddies are not claiming to gun? They know
that by it being in his home, he is going to have
to carry that weight. Tee-Tee… You need to tell
your brother to stay away from bad influences. If
he even knows who the gun belongs to and does
not say anything, it’s not affecting his buddies. It
is affecting him, because its in his home. Look at
    the whole picture.

  34. joe public Says:

Back to the main point. An innocent young woman was murdered. That is a fact. Her family will never be the same. And I suspect anyone who is guilty will never be the same, regardless of what happens in court. The action for what ever reason happened.

Anyone who was involved or is guilty should be punished. And it’s my opinion that violence of this nature does justify the death penalty. Not as a racist act, but a message to the public and the victims.

It’s very common that anyone who can kill like this will do it again. Often its people they know. It might jsut be my own fear, but Tee Tee, are you safe? Even though I loved someone, if I thought they killed someone like this incidence, I would be uneasy.

Violence of any nature should not be tolerated. Live is tough enough.

Tee Tee we are sorry your brother every got involved in anything bad, and what’s a shame is how any of it can spiral down hill. If he didn’t actual do and he know anything about it, his only choice is to talk, tell the authorities what happend. Guilt by association is hard to beat unless you aid in the solving of the crime.

On a positve note association with good influence can result in good things too. Be nothing but good, do only what is right, even when a msitake is made, no matter how much it hurts or how hard the path might be, doing the right thing is the only salvation. Tell him to come clean if he needs too come clean. And if he is innocent and was only at the wrong place at the wrong time (it can happen to anyone), he has a chance to survive. It wil lbe tough……….

  35. Antonio Says:

their punishment should be: death penalty
never let them out of their cells before execution
    no family contact
    no mercy
treat them like the infested rats they are
starve them with disgusting food before death row
make sure they suffer a lot

  36. John Says:

Two black men rob and kill a young white women, why isn’t this considered a hate crime? Where is Al Sharpen when these black men kill innocent white people? These two pieces of crap should be put to death!

  37. Darriel Says:

Yeah, you were quick to reprimand Tee Tee, but you didn’t say anything about all of the racist comments other people put up. To me, a racist and a murderer have the same place in H**l. Please…

  38. Digi1 Says:

I should be leery of certain behavior strains.
I don’t care what color you are!
Why would I ever want to be around someone acting thug or ghetto?
Why would I ever hire, trust or confide in someone acting thug or ghetto.
    Intent is intent.
I know if a dogs gonna bite, without offering my hand to it!
It’s easy to spot the obvious.
That does not make me a racist or a hater, it’s called survival and intelligence.

  39. joe public Says:

Agreesive behavior is not exceptable. If they are guilty they should pay for their sin. To death or life in prison, remove them from the gene pool.

It’s not a race issue. If they are guilty they deserve maximum penalty. All their rights are gone……..racism and murder are not comparable, that’s crazy…..

Who ever is guilty they are lost souls now…….

  40. joe public Says:

Al Sharpton is just and idiot looking to be famous….He is not the only stupid person out there, he’s not alone.

    He’s also a racist

  41. lindsey miller Says:

    KILL THEM S.O.Bs..

Eve carson did not deserve to die.. did they really need to kill her? GANGSTERS. naww a micky mouse club too me.. they deserve to die!!!…

    http://www.myspace.com/getemgirl1021

  42. Deeply Saddened Says:

wow, i as look at all the comments just made i can do nothing but sit here in awe. the death of eve carson was a true tragedy back in march. an innocent life was taken and she didnt deserve it. i think we all agree on that. i am not shocked by the support of this unc student as i am the negative feelings that are now being voiced. racism is soo very alive and it is so very sad. did the death of eve carson make it that much worse because she was white? did the death of eve carson make it that much worse because the alleged killers were black? if a white man had killed her would this incident have gotten as much attention?

I fully agree that justice should be served to those deserving. its just disheartening to know that so much hate can be voiced in this day and time. i hate to think what eve would have said about some of the comments made on this blog in her memory. what about her said that she condoned this language? expressions? viewpoints? is this really in her honor or just another way for young/old racists to congregate via internet over a common issue. please dont defame her memory with these awful posts. if all of your opinions on what should happen are hate-driven then they are not valid. would you want to be judged on the color of your skin?

Yes, everyone knows of Demario and Lawrence’s criminal record. good to know you guys care after things hit the fan. its also funny to look at the dates of when these comments were posted…following the good ole’ american dream “guilty until proven innocent.” lets cut the bs. this site may have been intended to honor eve carson but it has been used as a platform of hate. while we talk about acts of hate crimes lets speak of the young man in NY who was shot coming out of his bachelor party umpteen times by police for “looking like someone else.” or the young woman in wv held captive by a white family who did nothing but tortured her in many INHUMANE ways. O you dont like those stories, lets talk about the young man who rode his car through UNC’s campus courtyard with the intent of hitting anyone in his way. lets talk about all the crazy white women on “Snapped.”

The big picture is that the world is evil and there is no race less evil than the other. as a country we will never progess with people who share opinions with most of you (the racists). you have not contributed one thing to this forum but your own ignorance. thanks but you can hold off on expressing that. it must be hard walking around with all that hate, thats alot of baggage. america will alawys be the melting pot so you can get with it…or better yet…get lost. you are only stopping progess. people are people and people of all races commit crimes. as we point the finger at two “alleged” suspects lets point the rest at everyone else accordingly…..

    OBAMA 08′

  43. mylifeofcrime Says:

    Deeply Saddened,

I believe all comments that were even remotely racist have been removed. I am sorry I have not been able to get thru all of them before, but, there is just not always enough time in the day, especially when I have recently had surgery for the 2nd time and still recovering. For my entire blog, I get 200+ comments a day. Some days ALOT more. It can be overwhelming.

And by the way, I DO post on the crazy white women on “Snapped”, and ALL of the other women on “Snapped”. I post press releases for “Snapped” too. Race means NOTHING. So don’t try to pull that. I do not decide what to post depending on race or gender or anything like that.

  44. Terry Says:

If they are gulity, yes, I agree these boys committed a hate crime. They proved racism is on both sides, what a wasted of so many lives.

Anyone who kills someone else in a violent manner should recieve the death sentence. Violence and hate should not be allowed.

  45. Terry Says:

It kind of made me sad that deeply saddened had to make reference crimes and bad things commited by white folks to somehow make what these young men may have done do this poor young lady less of an issue. Those stated references don’t change what they did.

Bad things done by white people too are still bad. Bad things are bad things. The crime they may have done might have been a hate crime and it’s clear it should be questioned. Or it was just two idiots acting like thugs. Attacking a women or anyone is never an acceptable thing to do, ever. it might have been a power thing like rape too. None of us know. If it was just for fun and not power or racial that too is a bad thing. There is no acceptable reason.

It also possible that only one did and the other is guilty by assosciation like Joe Public stated. The motivation is only something they might know.

We don’t even know if they did it?

If they did, it only makes the hate and racial issues worse. White people become more racist and call it proof and black people will go into denial. Only the guitly know the motivation.

If we all knew it could actually help us understand how to prevent it. But it will never be forgivable.

Anyone who does murders, or kills someone else should be punished to the maximum the law allows. I do think the death penalty is a deterant. I also don’t believe insanity is an excuse. Normal and civilized people do not hurt each other, comit hate crimes, act out in rage or anger, riot, or hang on to baggage. So by definition in my book these actions are proof that you need help if you act out any of these kind of behavior issues.

  46. Shocked, but not too surprised Says:

Two black men rob and kill a young white women, why isn’t this considered a hate crime?

Eve’s murder doesn’t exactly seem to be a racist act, but I could be wrong. Still, the government rarely labels hate crimes. Look up Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom. They were murdered and tortured worse than this poor girl, and the government practically swept the dust under the rug. Sickening.

They deserve the death penalty. An eye for an eye. It won’t make the whole world blind, but it’ll eliminate all of the trouble. Survival of the intelligent and civilized human beings, not the barbarians. We can’t ignore what they did.
