When can this kind of a tragedy be stopped? What humans differ from animals is that we have the ability to control our emotions and behaviors associated with emotions. If we count from 1 to 10, our brain will be refreshed. Our furious anger will calm down. And any intended tragedies can be avoided.

I grew up in Tinley Park. I wonder what the motive is, especially since committed so early in the morning in a store that probably did not have much money on hand.

If the shooting itself weren’t tragic enough it just had to happen at a Lane Bryant.

This is so sad. Have the police determined what the motive was?

@ Crockett: Is it happening at Lane Bryant anymore tragic than it happening anywhere else? Or did I misinterpret your comment.
I live not too horribly far from Tinley Park, I must admit, this event did make me think as I went to work overnight in a historic hotel last night.

It’s a sad day when you can’t even go to work without worrying about being gunned down. These poor people probably never suspected a thing until it was too late. How tragic for these families. Such a shame. God bless you all.

I don’t think this was a robbery. It sounds like a “crime of passion”. Criminals are opportunists. I can’t believe they would drive to a mall in mid-morning to hod it up. It just doesn’t make sense. I think they should look into the acquantances of the these unfortunate women. One of those gals knew this guy. He probably killed her and then the others to silence the witnesses. I hope they hunt this coward down and put him in jail for life. What a selfish bastard.
I just wonder why the Tinley Park police asre not letting out any information…how can the public help?

The news of a sole survivor is encouraging .
I read that the FBI are involved…that is good.

I am from South Bend and I knew Jennifer Bishop. I just came home from her wake. I had to watch her daughter with tears in her eyes and her 6 month old son wondering where his mommy was. I hope the coward who did this to these women and Jeni at the store either comes forward or is haunted enough that he makes a mistake and gets caught. And he was just that….a coward.
