They say she drowned and that there are not signs of foul play. But it seems strange to me. We know from the photo that she was wearing long pants and a jacket. It’s wintertime. Why would she have gone into the water? Could she have been going after her dog? Could she not swim? Did she have a medical condition that could have caused her to pass out or faint and fall in?
I’m not totally convinced that if someone held you under the water it would necessarily leave a mark. After all, it’s not like they would have to press you against a hard surface or anything. I don’t know. It still seems strange to me.
I completely agree with you. I am not convinced her death was accidental either. It makes no sense why she would be found in the lake in the middle of winter. Also, her glasses were found nearby, not in the water but under a bush by a trash can. How can they rule out foul play so early on? Cayle’s story has really touched me, and I hope that her cause of death is investigated much further. Also, another UGA student a few months back appeared to die in this same manner. He was a med student whose body was also found in a nearby pond/lake. He was also 29 years, appeared to have wondered off from his home and was missing until his body was recovered from the water. This could be a possible connection.

1 - I will not tolerate hate filled speech or derogatory remarks about a victim. I will remove comments that go against this. I will not remove comments just because they do not match my beliefs, in fact, I welcome them! However, that being said, I will remove those that I find offensive, argumentative just for the sake of starting an argument that does not add to the post, hate-filled speech, etc.
