Hey piqued, and just how unintelligent are you? Sometimes trials really aren’t needed. While you might think Carolyn is a “thug” you’re a total left wing candy ass pussy. No, I’m not a right wing “nut job” as you might think either. This pos here in this story is an example of when a trial isn’t needed and only serves to waste taxpayer money (plenty of that going on these days) and continue to add more injury to her family. This man will not get the death penalty right off, he will sit in jail a few years, and then he may get it, and in the mean time we are paying for his comfort, he get a nice bed to sleep in and a hot shower, tv and movie to watch, phone calls, and family and friends seeing him, we as a society should be screeming for this to stop(Murdering), it all come down the us we either allow this to continue or put this to a stop, this is how it done, vote judges in that will enforce the laws, or we will see more and more of this stuff happening, how much do we love our family and friends, if you love them stand up, and change the laws, and throw out the judges who wont inforce these laws, my condolences to the family & friends who lost this young woman, she did’nt deserve this,

I hope that lunatic is killed in prison. I don’t want my tax dollars to go towards supporting that monster. Throw his behind in a vat of acid and give him the same dignity that he gave that poor girl when he chose to take her from her home by force and torture her. What he did to her family is indescribable and I can’t even imagine the heartache they must be going through after reading and hearing the details of her murder. I hope he set’s the record for being on Texas death row for the least amount of time before his execution. There is absolutely no reason to doubt his guilt!!!!!!!!

We’re not writing resumes here,so what do a few typos matter? English is my second language, but I’m passionate about spelling. But hey………not in an informal place like here.
I’m also passionate about life; mine, or anybody else’s. People that show as little respect for life, as this murderer has shown, do not deserve to live, imho. Why is it always the victims’ families are not given consideration, but the system bends over backwards to be sure the defendants get their “rights”.
I do believe in due process, but, in cases like this………those people have forfeited their rights. But, then again, what do I know?
My heart goes out to the family, and friends of this girl.

Looks like he’s pretty evil. Don’t believe the God thing either. We had a murderer round here a few years ago, who killed 13 women (and tried to kill more) who said God told him to do it, from a grave. Yeah, right. However, had they TRIED HIM PROPERLY he’d have been in a proper jail, not a loony-bin (albeit one where he has now been stabbed in the eye, twice.) In the police’s excitement at catching him, and their rush to bring it to trial, vital evidence was missing (ie he had a special outfit for the killings, meaning they were pre-meditated.) So whether you believe in the death penalty or not, you really need to try suspects as openly as possible to ascertain their guilt. Our govt (UK) and yours (USA) should not be trusted. Just ask all the Irish guys sent to jail for murder in the ’70s, who later had their convictions quashed. Otherwise, you are a raving commie who should hand themselves over to the authorities for heinous anti-American thought crimes! That is the only logical action you can take, since you subscribe so strongly to the Maoist (China) or Stasi (Eat-German commie) belief in ‘accusation = guilt.’ Or, read The Crucible, a fine American play. Smith County is still a corrupt county even years after the book Smith County Justice was published. Ask the law enforcement why it is that when a woman calls for help because of an abusive situation the law does nothing to protect her. Better yet they arrest the victim and the abuser because they do not want to make the effort to sort things out. Why is it when a woman calls the police to make a report of threats and plays the recording of the threats to the officer they tell her there’s nothing they can do. When victims go the crisis center for a protection order they then turn to Legal Aid to help them but most time Legal Aid will refuse to help or drag there feet. Why is it so hard for women of abuse to get a judge to sign off on a protection order with evidence of abuse but an abuser can have one singed off on immediatly with only unfounded claims? This is especially true when the abuser is in a in a place of authority. Why is Smith County domestic abuse statistics higher than any other surrounding county? It seems the Good O’le Boys club is alive and well here.
Why is it that the community could careless about these victims until one is violently killed and make headline news across the county? What about all the nameless, faceless, victims that hide in fear?

Just last month, my great grandparents were broken into, bound, held at gunpoint, and robbed. This country needs some serious crack down on crime. I went to school with Jana, and she was always smiling. I have several friends that went to school with her murderer. The sad thing is, a lot of people have said that he was actually a really sweet guy, and this was totally out of character. I’m not sure if justice with be properly served, and if the court system will give him the punishment he deserves. I am sure that no matter what happens to him in life, he will pay for eternity. God holds a special place in hell for people who do terrible things like this. I am no one to pass judgement, so as a Christian, I hope that he can be forgiven, see the error in what he has done, and find God in his heart.

I can’t imagine what the family is going through! I agree with the ones that say death penalty and I too, am a Christian. What really gets me is there is a defense attorney and if it were me, my father would want to kill the person that defending the killer of his daughter! I mean, what the mess is that about? He has a rap sheet and he will be in jail using our tax dollars and then get out in some time and then do this again to someone else and their family! Well he is black and she was white, how could she do that? I know, as a Christian I shouldn’t be saying that, well that’s between God and me because that is how I feel!

I can’t ever fathom anything like this happening to me or my family. It is so scary when you with someone everyday and then one day, they flip the script on you and beat you, rape you or worse, kill you. This guy not only killed this young lady, he cut her body up and COOKED her and ATE parts of her body. This is so damn sick……. I don’t care what he has been through, there is no reason to torture another human being. It doesn’t matter what she did or didn’t do in their relationship, she didn’t deserve this. I don’t care if he hadn’t slept for days, weeks, months or years this is unexceptable behavior. He is truly a disturbed young man, his ex-wife is so lucky that she got away from him. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jana’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. May she Rest In Peace and my your family have peace of mind, and know that justice will be served…….

Jana was my daughters friend since elementry. {whitehouse} Jana was setting across from me at table Christmas 4 days before she was murdered, by a man that she loved to a point and my daughter respected as a person. I don’t hate chris mccuin, as a person cause i didn’t no him personally, but I think he had alot of mental crap going on that even his MAMA didn’t no about. He didn’t become bad over night, He was a FUCKIN SICOOOO to begin with. He should have had more family support and counciling when he got out of prison the first time. Bless his family for they no not what should have been done to the man that killed a beautiful girl full of life.

Well, Chris died in his jail sell a little while back and I believe that was gods way of dealing with him. He will now have to face the man above sooner then the thought. God bless all who knew Jana. For Chris he got what he deserved now the streets will be a safer place.

Even though he died in jail it will never be enough to punish the horrors he did to Jana. This person did not love my daughter someone who loved her could not do that to her body. I miss Jana every day and cry still every day. The Smith county Sheriff office just returned my computer after 14 months, with all programs erased and the harddrive put back wrong. I just also recieved her autopsy and have been in shock for the last week at the lack of info they shared with us. So it’s like re-living it all over again only worse because now we have more details. Still not all though the DA has another murder case now and cannot make any time for my family until maybe April to go over the evidence they have so we might have some of our questions answered.But I’m not really hopeful after waiting all this time wondering her time of death and they didn’t even estimate it. The findings were between 10 pm the 4th and 9:41 the 5th. Well DUH! We told them she walked out the apt door at 10pm. and they found her and 9:41. Am I missing something here or would any other mother want to know a little closer time of death? Also on the atopsy nothing about her legs? They describe everything on her body down to a scrape on her toe, but no mention of her legs, now as a dancer she would have used those legs if she had the chance, will I ever Know? As her mother don’t I have the right to know. I’ve had it with victims advocacy, all they’ve done is made the family feel more like victims. They were to help pay for the sister’s gas for the funeral trip but even though marriage cert. were sent because names didn’t match they didn’t pay. The Smith Co. Sheriff’s office told me they would copy my files and bring back my computer in two weeks. Well I had to go get it after a fight to get it and then everything on it was erased. to jana’s mother. first of all, i want to give my extreme sympathy. i cannot imagine having to go through losing one of my children, especially like this – and to have all that “question” in mind about “why the computer trickery?” That’s what got my attention. I did not know Jana, to my knowledge, nor did I know Chris. I will have you know, however, that the one or two things I have heard about this case in the Tyler world is that he might have been brain washed or something. Maybe this guy was really a psycho beyond his troubled past mentioned above and maybe I am reading too far into things like I am always accused of, but the story sounds so bazaar, and now with the erasing of the computer thing in my head, I’m thinking that soon we will hear of an extension to it all. I don’t want to make you think about this anymore than you have to Ms. S. I just wanted to log this just in case the wierd crap in my world, or neighborhood, links to this case some how via a different scenerio of course. I won’t get into this and bore you to death with me and the things that go on in my plethora of investigations, but you can bet I will be checking periodically to see if this case has taken any weird turns toward any connection to the organized stalking situation in my surroundings. all i should probably say to explain my view is that whomever commits crime these days, they are seemingly finding a scapegoat or someone else to blame and creating a solid foundation of evidence toward a different direction before they ever commit the crime. mind control tactics are exploited all over the internet, usually explained as resulting from electronic harrassment(s). I have been studying the defenses of such for my own reasons. I hope i’m doing the right thing by mentioning this subject to you. If it rubs you wrong or makes you think more, I truly apologize.
