Trenton Duckett, a 2 year old boy from Leesburg, Florida, has been missing since August 27, 2006. His mother, Melinda, claimed he had been abducted from his room and she noticed when checking on him. However, much of her story has turned out to be either untrue or not believeable. Melinda and Trenton’s father, Joshua, were apparently getting a divorce and there was a dispute over custody. She refused to take a lie-detector test, and then went on The Nancy Grace Show, which turned out to not be in her favor. Melinda committed suicide on September 9, however, the search for Trenton has continued. Joshua is determined to find his son.
It has also come to light that Melinda has been a suspect from the beginning. There were inconsistencies in her apartment (possible blood stains, fresh paint, etc.) and she also threw away in the dumpster all of Trenton’s toys, photographs and even one os his sonograms from her pregnancy. Why would a mother do that unless she knew he was not coming home and did not want him home? Most mother’s of murdered children hold on to anything and everything that belonged to their child. To me, this was a bad sign.
Now, Melinda’s family is trying to sue Nancy Grace, saying she drove Melinda to suicide. Well, in my opinion, that is a crock! She did it out of pure guilt. I realize her family is mourning her loss, and I do feel bad for them, as they loved her very much. Sometimes things in life are not easy to live with or come to terms with. I hope that this situation will have some resolution soon. I do hope and pray that Trenton is alive and well. He has a father and a family that loves him and wants him home. Miracles have happened before!

There has not been any further mention of a on going investigation for finding Trenton. I think about this little boy everyday and hope and pray that who ever has him that they are taking good care of him. Trenton needs to be returned to his father, so please if you have Trenton please drop him off at a church or hospital so he can be reunited with his family.

I’ve been praying for little Trenton for a long time. Honestly, I do not think Trenton is alive. I think his mom killed him to hurt his dad, then couldn’t live with the guilt so she killed herself. I hope and pray that I’m wrong. As for her family suing Nancy Grace, that’s pathetic. They can’t hate on Nancy because she hit pay dirt, and basically wouldn’t let Melinda tell blantant lies to her face with out a response. Nancy was just too much for her to handle, and she crumbled. I agree Shauncey. Nancy Grace did not make Melinda kill herself-guilt did. You know she was guilty after she threw alway all of his toys only days after his disappearance. Wouldn’t a normally distraught parent cling to thos toys?

Yes, an innocent parents CLINGS to their loved ones belongings. I’m confused as to why she went to Nancy Grace anyways. Nancy will eat you alive if she has even an INKLING that your guilty, as she should. You should only turn to Nancy if your innocent, and you’d better be well armed with proof THEN. Nancy Grace is a pit bull in a skirt, and I have nothing but the upmost respect for her.

Has anyone heard anything new on Trenton Duckett…are they still searching for this poor baby? I have a son a little younger than Trenton and this story just breaks my heart…I would not be able to function until I found him!!!
